Rhino 4x4 Escape Recovery Track Ladder 10t Off Roading Traction Grip Winter Boards Sand/Mud/Snow x2 (Black)

I have been looking for some traction boards and there is a huge range, in both price and style. I chose these boards because I wanted to cover a few options: I wanted the peace of mind that I could recover myself If I got stuck somewhere off the beaten track, and I wanted to something that I could use to level up my jeep when car- camping. They also give the added benefit of helping to spread the load over a wider area If I need to change a tyre while on soft ground, I could put my jack on this traction board with a smaller jack plate in-between. I like the depth of the boards, without being too bulky, they are ridged enough to support the weight of my 2.5ton Jeep but flexible enough no to break. The material is a good thickness but they don't feel heavy, at least when their not caked in mud, and they come with a sturdy bag to put them in if they do get caked in mud and I've got no room on the roof rack. They do have small holes in them for fixing brackets or to bolt them to ya roof rack. If I had to make one suggestion for improvement, it would be to round off the sharp edge on the inside of the ergonomically shaped hand holds, it won't matter if I'm wearing gloves, which is a good idea anyway when doing recovery, but just incase, I think i'll probably smooth the edge off with a bit of sand paper or a lighter (see picture 3). My overall opinion is that they are well up to the job and worth every penny.

The track ladder consists of two very strong, yet light and durable, plastic mats. They need to go under the skidding wheels of your vehicle and then you are assured of plenty of grip. They really do work too, I have already used mine in combination with my lawn tractor, which has a tendency to skid when pulling very heavy loads up a slope. Not any more thanks to the Rhino mats. One note, ideally one should consider buying two pairs, in this way you can continue until the vehicle begins to slip and then roll it back on to one pair and then put the second pair in front of the first pair so that you can then resume forward progress and then as the first pair become free they can be brought around to continue progress up the hill. It maybe slow, but it would be effective.

Our company does events and with the UK weather fields can get boggy so we keep a pair handy for those end of the day wheel spins that dig into soft ground down to the axle that can mean a long wait for a tow truck just when you really want to go home! Decent quality, light and come with a bag - great if filthy after use.

Bought as a cheaper alternative to Maxtrax and for limited use. They sit much higher than Maxtrax when placed together but the cost more than out weighs any small issues.

I ordered a pair of these to carry in our VW Crafter Camper Van, I am seriously impressed. The material is incredibly rigid & sturdy, I put them down on the kitchen floor and stood on them, I'm 15 stone these days, they didn't even deflect, no movement at all. I can't say I'm looking forward to using them, long may we never need to, but like Insurance they are well worth having with us for that awful sinking moment when they will come into their own. They should rescue us from that stuck in the mud situation with ease. These Mats are the business purchase in confidence.

Awesome peace of kit, work really well in soft sand and nice light weight. These recovery aids are very sturdy and will get you out of trouble if you get stuck. Very happy and take them with me every where!!

Had these for nearly a year now, sat on the side of our van. The first use was to get us out of our own property on muddy grass and one has split so badly that I'll have to look for another set.. (Way too late to try and send them back) I've circled the split in picture 2 so you can see how bad it is. The van is 3.5 ton, so nowhere near the 10 ton rating they've been given. Do yourself a favour and give them a miss..

Die Sandbleche sind sehr schnell geliefert worden und machen einen guten und sehr robusten Eindruck. Die dazugehörige Tasche wurde sehr schnell nachgeliefert und ich kann die Bleche gut verpackt jetzt mit auf die Reise nehmen. Danke

Je recommande vivement, elles sont aussi solides et efficaces qu'une marque 3x plus cher. Testés sur de long RAID, neige boue .... elles sont ultra résistantes.
