They are easy to install, very durable, and makes putting on shoes easy for the kids. I started using these for my sons at around age 3 and we still use them. They are pretty universal. I had one pair of shoes that had very small eyelets but I was still able to make it work by gently pulling them through with pliers. I also like to either flip one band on one foot upside down so the smooth side is up or put one band a totally different color to help the kids to know what shoe goes on what foot.
