I was glad to test this heat pad, as I’d been looking for something flat and comfortable enough to use for back pain. On first impressions, it presents well: neatly boxed, with a soft, pleasant fabric and a decent‑length power cable. Although Comfytemp appears to be an American brand, this particular model is manufactured in China, and it comes with an unusually large label attached to the side of the mat. It’s so oversized (larger than A5) that it tends to get in the way during use, which feels like an odd design choice. Functionally, the pad is straightforward. The inline controller is easy to operate, offering three heat settings: low, medium, and high. Low produced a mild warmth, but not enough to feel therapeutic for me personally. Switching to medium and high was far better for targeted back pain relief. One thing I did appreciate is the weighted design—it gives the pad a cosy, reassuring feel when resting on your lap or stomach, especially on a cold evening. The colour is fine and neutral for most situations. Overall, it’s a comfortable, nicely made heat pad. A decent product which is definitely good value. Has all the necessary safety markings for UK usage, and its two-hour auto cut-off creates peace of mind.

this is a brilliant piece of kit. i suffer from neck and shoulder pain frequently. I bought this to try and get some heat onto my neck which is the main issue. I have tried many other heat devices but this one has a collar on it which covers the neck muscles as well as the the top of the shoulders and someway down the middle of the shoulder blades. It has 3 heat settings and the hottest is brilliant and i can feel my muscles relaxing. The other two settings are less hot and should be good for those who don't want too much heat. the controls are on the front so easily reachable and the timer settings are brilliant. I sometimes use it to warm the muscles to prevent pain before it starts.

Best thing about this is the fact that its cordless, so no cords in the way and you can move from room to room with ease. Certainly does the job of soothing tired neck and shoulders, easy to use with three settings, I use the middle setting as the high setting is pretty warm. It does feel heavy on the neck to start with (probably because i have a slight build.) It would help if this also came with a usb charger so i can take it with me when i sometimes go away at weekends 😁

This has helped with neck pain, and whenever I feel uncomfortable it helps release the pressure. It is very comfortable to wear, and the functionality is what you would expect. I have however noted that the battery doesnt last much, about 2 uses of 15 minutes, at medium warmth, and I expected it to last a little longer than this, thats why the 4 stars.

In the description, it's suggested that the neck collar will give 3-8 hours of continuous use. My assumption is the 3 hours would be at maximum power/heat and the 8 hours at the lowest setting. I am only able to get 90 minutes at best on the maximum power/heat setting, and that's measured over about 4 full charges. I take into account the possibility of battery conditioning and that sometimes it might take a few cycles to obtain the maximum rating but even so, an hour and a half? Other than that, it's ok as far as heat distribution goes but not as comprehensively spread out as the pictures show, but that's the world of we live in I guess. That expression used by Dr. House in the TV series " House" seems apt for so many online purchases - "Everyone lies". I may have got one with a poor battery and the general construction and materials seem fine but the limited usage time is why I'll only give it 3 stars.
