14,000 BTU Smart Inverter 115V Window Air Conditioner, 700 Sq Ft

14000 btu works well so far ...cools whole first floor. Inverter units runs QUIETer than conventional ON/ OFF units . speed slows and quiets as it reaches set temp. Uses less power too. Weighs a LOT less than most other units of same size. I was able to lift it to install it myself. Not true for my Fredrick 14k Fredrick is truly the best quality you can buy. Can't say how long of a life this will have. Note that 14 K is biggest you can have on a 110volt circuit and it NEEDS ITS OWN CIRCUIT.

Cools very well. Easy to install. Arrived promptly . Great thermostat.. automatically senses temperature fluctuations well. Quiet except when fan is on high .

If I can do less than 1 star, i would. I purchased this brand cuz I trusted the description that it’s quiet, but this midea ac 14000 btu turned out to a loud, and noisy unit after I paid $100 mounted and installed to our window. Meanwhile my husband and I both are over 80 yrs old, we just not physically able to remove it, put it into a box which had already tossed out and have this returned. It became a nightmare cuz we paid over $500 for it and this will have to last many years to come. I requested a technician to come in and fix the problem, the customer service refused. Then I asked if they could pay for me to get a local technician, midea customer service agent also refused. I’m soooo upset and disappointed for my stupid decision to purchase this brand.

We purchased this after our central air let go.,it was too expensive to fix and we opted to go with a window unit for the main living area. It worked and performed beyond our expectations. We had a different brand in our bedroom and it was so noisy. This unit had a quiet mode that barely sounded like it was running. Once the temp was maintained, it kept the room comfortable at our chosen 70:degrees. We had a hot New England summer and it did great! Our electric usage actually lowered compared to using central air. We ran the bedroom unit 24 hours a day on hot days and ran this unit in the open floor plan main living areas around 14 hours a day. On hot humid nights, we kept on comfort cool and it barely ran. Would definitely recommend. We plan on buying an 8,000 next year for the bedroom if we aren’t able to get the central air fixed.

I can't think of a bad thing to say. This was easy to install, light enough for 1 person to do the job by themselves. It has definitely kept our entire downstairs cool. Only using ceiling fans to spread the cool air around which we normally do regardless the time of year. No oscillating fans to trip over. The smart inverter is impressive & the amount of power used is substantial. I will probably buy another one for our upstairs next Spring.

Decent working ac. The app is a little baggy and does not always change settings when prompted.

Keeps our room 60 degrees at night. We live in the desert. Our bedroom has east and west facing windows. Even with reflective film on the windows and heavy curtains our central air could not keep our second floor bedroom cool. This AC is worth every penny. I can turn it on with my phone before I leave work and it cools our room rapidly. It’s quiet enough, perfect back ground noise for sleeping.

14000 BTU. Nice, cold air. Powerful air flow, felt it across the room on medium fan speed. Quieter than old-style ACs. It’s fairly quiet on the lowest fan speed - I’m noise sensitive. Although it’s quiet, I’ve had quieter inverter AC’s…but they didn’t cool anywhere as well as this Midea. On medium-to-high fan speeds, I do turn the tv volume up quite a bit. Thankfully, it’s a smooth, even, whooshing noise. All you hear is air — no rattling, rumbling, or whining. 👍 Powerful cooling = It is BY FAR the best at cooling a room quickly (compared to off-brand inverter ACs I’ve had in the past). 14000 BTU is rated to cool up to 700 sq ft. I found that to be accurate in real life. 👍Super pleased, since AC’s I’ve had in the past didn’t live up to their square footage claims. Midea does. It comes with 2 rolls of foam weatherstrip, which I appreciated. Personally, I like to buy extra foam in different sizes for an extra-perfect seal. I also bought some Plasticene modeling clay — it’s like play-doh — great for sealing hairline gaps around the side extender pieces. Like every AC, this unit needed it. You can mold it to any shape with your fingers to fill tiny gaps. Build quality seems great. Install was easy for 1 female. 2 people is better if you can.
