Money Saver
This product is a life saver. I chipped my white (with tiny grey specks) countertop on the edge that leads into the sink. The chip was kind of deep. I was moving out of this apartment. and this repair from a repair man would have been hundreds of dollars; I don't even want to know how much the apartment complex could have charged me for damaging this very large, continuous slab of quartz countertop. I kind of followed the included instructions of this product to perform the repair. As I was sanding the finished repair, the repaired spot popped loose! I was definitely frustrated. Then I read the FULL product repair instructions, and followed them exactly... If you have a deeper nick or repair, you need to apply and cure the product in stages or layers. This allows the under layers to cure and adhere to the surface properly. The finished result was a flawless and solid repair on the edge of my quartz counter. And you could almost not tell at all that it was even repaired... it blends that well. The only reason you could tell a little bit that it was a small spot repaired is because the counter is white with light grey specks in it... and the repair material is just white. But it was so barely noticeable, it was even a challenge to locate the repaired spot without having to stair a the counter and really look for it. This is a great product to repair counters and keep them look pristine, smooth, and perfect... and a product that is durable. I couldn't find this product or anything like it at Home Depot or Lowe's. I only found it on Amazon. Great Product!

Nice concept, but doesn't deliver.
We decided to give this a try since it was pretty cheap and relatively easy to use according to the product listing. First, the product that arrives does not match the product pictured. We understand that the product packaging may change and that isn't factored into the review. It's an observation. Even still, this 'kit' feels like something that was put together in someone's garage. The 'leveling tape' is a piece of plastic film wrap. The 'leveling stick' is legitimately a Popsicle stick. Now, our experience pumping the product differed from others. With the applicator tip installed, it's pretty easy to get it to come out as desired. Without the tip installed, way too much will come out. But the part that knocks this thing down to a one star... and it should be zero stars... the kit does NOT cure. OK. It's a cheap kit. We get it. The key chain light is something that looks like a trade show souvenir. OK. It's a cheap kit. But regardless of whether you're charging $20 or $200, it should work as you describe. The blue light does NOT cure the epoxy. It just leaves a sticky mess. We tested this out by doing it for the five minutes suggested by the packaging and even letting the blue light sit on the repair area for SEVEN HOURS. Only very minor curing... but that might be due to the product drying out for sitting so long. In any case, the repair never achieved a consistency more than rubber cement. Used a blue light from another source... no curing. Nothing.

Decent DIY quick-fix product
I saw a similar product at YouTube on fixing cracks and chips on granite countertops. I found this product at Amazon and decided to try it out. It worked well after following the instructions on the package. I canโt say the fix is perfect or invisible, but it did the job. The trick is to place the blue UV light as close as possible without touching the surface. But the blue light device doesnโt work well as youโll need to hold it for as long as it needs while press on the button. I used the small UV light device that I use to cure my gel nail instead, tape it onto a metal water bottle and placed it over the area, so I did not have to hold it myself. Overall, this kit does what itโs supposed to. Yes, the costs of the materials in the kit are probably not worth the price, but the transparent gel is a special product, and it is hard to find a substitute. See the photo I attached showing the โbeforeโ and โafterโ of fixing the corner chip at my kitchen countertop. Itโs pretty much the best a DIY person can do!

Absolutely awesome, relatively easy to use, dried smooth and clear on our granite counters, seamless
We had a bunch of little chips (ranging in size from a few MMs to 1 CM in length) that have occurred over the years on the edges of our granite countertops in our kitchen and breakfast bar area. I finally bit the bullet and bought this kit. Using this kit was amazingly easy, and the results were fantastic and achievable with only about an hour's worth of effort. The kit comes with everything you need to repair a chip in your granite, however if you are looking at repairing a chip on the vertical side of your counter (like along the edge) then I would also recommend that you have some blue painter's tape on hand as well. I used painter's tape along the edge repairs to act as a "dam" to prevent the product from running off the edge of the counter while I completed the curing process by applying the blue light to it. Secondly, I would recommend that you also ensure that you have a small hand clamp (or clothespin) to help hold the blue light over the repair area (instead of having to physically hold the light in your hand). Overall this repair product is very simple to use and I am MORE than pleased with the results. The repairs I made with this product are 99% invisible and the cost is unbeatable.

Not Suitable for My Long Deep Countertop Crack
Was an interesting product to try; Easy instructions but after applied product i had to use the blue light it said for 5 minutes for hardening which is Not practical in my scenario of a cracked counter top from front to backsplash. Also, the crack was all the way through so this product simply leaked through and wasnt able to harden even over time. Perhaps there is a better product for deep and long cracks or thicker even to stay in the crack. Definitely the blue light for 5 minutes isn't feasible; needs to be a quicker setup.

NOT BAD!
This is an updated review. !!!!YOU HAVE TO GET AN ACTUAL UV FLASHLIGHT OR IT WILL NOT CURE!!! The light included in the kit will NOT do the job. Otherwise, the resin itself works miracles. I used masking tape to shape โmouldsโ on chips that were on edges. I put another piece of tape (sticky side on sticky side) where the chips themselves are so that the resin doesnโt glue itself to the glue on the tape. I struggled with the light included in the kit as it would NOT cure anything. For 4 days the substance would stay liquid, until I bought an $8 UV flashlight and put it to use. Takes about 5-20 minutes to cure with it, depending on the size of the chip. I did not take โbeforeโ pictures but on my photos you can kind of see where the chips were. I struggled taking the โafterโ photos because I could barely see the spots I fixed - thatโs how good this thing is. Itโs not gonna be perfect but it will protect it from chipping further and will save you thousands on useless repairs or replacements. Their customer service is also very responsive so I recommend you reach out to them before freaking out and returning the product.

Dries slow, result looks terrible
I was excited to purchase and use this product based on the positive reviews. The steps seemed easy to follow and as an extra, I watched a YouTube video to make sure what I was going to do was correct. The curing process with the blue light was awful. My hands were hurting because there wasn't a button to hold the light down. What I ended up doing was unscrewing the light and taping it down to ensure the light stayed on. Despite this, the curing process took over 24 hours! When the curing process was finally done, I sanded it following the directions on the box. This either removed completely some material in the hairline crack or made some of the cured material darker. Now the hairline crack and sink look worse than it did before I used this product. Thinking the final step, Polisher Paste, would make it "shiny" or enlighten the darkened material, it did not. At this point, it would be easier to replace the sink all together, especially now that it looks so much worse than it did when I had the hairline crack. I'm really unhappy with this product. I do not recommend.

Great for small chips, but takes a while
The process was a little more tedious than I had expected, but this chip filler did an amazing job. Just take a look at the before and after pictures! You would never know it was there. Yes, like the other reviews say, the light is very small. But it does work. And if all you have is literally one chip in your table, there's no reason to invest in something bigger. I wanted to be on the super safe side and make sure I did it right the first time, so I would apply a very thin layer of the acrylic, then hold the light over it for 10 minutes. (The instructions say to only do five, but again, the safe side.) Doing it this way, I probably had to do four thin applications, curing with the light each time, and then I sanded and it was done. I think my only actual complaint is that the leveling tape they send is a total joke. It's maybe a half an inch wide. Even for a chip this small, the leveling tape was just barely sufficient. I almost wonder if they sent me the wrong kind of tape. In the instructions, the tape looks like it should be much bigger. But overall, this is well worth the purchase.

Fabulous
Absolutely fantastic, canโt even notice it. I did need a better uv light and left it there a few house but I am well impressed and would highly recommend this product. If I can do it anyone can. Itโs saved my granite worktop.
