Nippon Kodo 22051 Eiju Meiko Incense, Cinnamon and Amber, Brown, 16 x 8.5 x 3.5 cm

I just ordered two more boxes of this exquisite incense. Like most of the Japanese incense I have used over the years this one gently spreads a fragrance through a room without becoming overwhelmingly cloying or pungent. I also like that the burn time is 30 minutes and there is very little smoke. Plus 260 sticks of incense per box is a bargain. I use this incense when I first awaken and also just before going to bed. I also use it during my daily qigong practice.

These smell YUMMY! They're kind of like a sugar cookie mixed with cinnamon and brown sugar and snickerdoodle---all if that mixed together. It's hard to describe. The scent is just really good! They don't put off alot of smoke and are not headache/nausea inducing like alot of the strong Indian incense out there is... These are just perfectly balanced and put off JUST the right amount of fragrance! They burn for about 15 minutes or so, and the sticks are thin and dainty and of a decent size. They're not long but are not as short as the morning star incense is. They're a bit longer. (I'm also a big fan of Nippon Kodos Morning Star Vanilla as well!) You won't be disappointed doing a blind buy with this incense! If you like gourmand scents then you will like this one!

I'm a super fan of Nippon Kodo's incense and I try to sample everything they offer within financial reason. Some of my favorites are: • Ka-Fuh Aqua • New Morningstar Earth (discontinued!) • Naturense Calm Night and Oriental Mind • Kayuragi Sandalwood, Rose and Jasmin • Esteban Tech & Tonka • a number of Morningstar options While the Morningstar line is affordable for daily burning, I find the scents to all have a somewhat similar character. That said, one of them, Cinnamon, I did like for whatever its unique scent was. I was disappointed to find they discontinued it however, and I've been looking for a cinnamon replacement ever since. This incense, Eiju Meiko, Cinnamon and Amber, is jaw-dropping amazing. I say that in part because I love a strong scent. This one is clear and potent. The cinnamon aspect is subtle, but definitely there. The amber is the dominant scent and the combo will make you believe you're in a 13th century French monastery scribing ancient texts. If you like a subtle scent in the room, you may find this one has too much character, but if you like to be teleported back in time, this one is absolutely the one. In the very least any incense fan should give this one a try.

This incense is so wonderful. I have burned the Nippon Kodo sandalwood (in the smaller, striped box) for some time now, and I decided to give this scent a try, since you receive 5 times as many sticks for nearly the same price. I LOVE this scent!! It reminds me of gingerbread, but without feeling Christmas-y, if you can imagine that. It tips its hat to gourmand scents without actually being one. It’s very comforting. My best friend visited last week, smelled this in the air, and immediately loved it. I sent her a box and she also thinks it’s wonderful. Additionally, it comes with the cutest ceramic incense holder. Mine is white and light blue (not sure if they differ from package to package). I like the holder for this product line even better than the metal holder that comes in the more expensive box. 10/10 recommend if you’re into warm spicy/comforting scents!

As a massive spicy smell fan and someone who often enjoys their "Amber" scent, I thought I would give this one a go. I have a suspicion that the price is blown up but pretty much everything on Amazon is nowadays. The smell is definitely not the typical Fall spice smell I had anticipated. It's not bad either though. Kind of reminds me of aged wood from an antique shop. If you like that sort of thing then this is probably for you. Still a nice and calming scent though, and incredible burn time.

I've been eying this particular incense for a while now and have had it on my wish list and decided to get it when it went on sale. When it arrived and I marveled at the packaging, it's such a pretty sunset pink and orange with gold foil letters (got to give props to Japanese incense brands, their packaging Is always beautiful). When I smelled the box after opening it was just like heaven, oh my God the scent is just amazing and I prayed to God it smelled exactly like in the box when lit. Unfortunately, it did not smell exactly like the unlit sticks in the box once lit, but it still smelled really really good! In the box, unlit, the scent is very sweet and sophisticated. Once lit, there where less sweet notes and more of the spicy notes came out from the cinnamon, which I actually really like and I think it's a perfect scent for the fall. Anyway, just expect the scent of the lit sticks to be different than that of when you first smell the sticks in the box, both are beautiful scents and are worth buying this incense. It's actually one of my favorites now.

It does not burn 30 mn! or even 20 min!!! I liked the scent but will buy Bali incense next as that I know burns for 30 min!!!

Comme son cousin tibétain, l'encens japonais ne contient pas de tige central en bois, plus fin donc plus fragile, il sera à manipuler avec précaution. Son odeur rare et subtile saura vous apporter les odeurs exotiques de l'Asie avec une note de cannelle. Si vous avez une grande pièce 30-40 m2, je conseille d'en brûler 2 à la fois. Son diamètre est de 1 mm, sa durée de combustion est de 30 minutes, il laissera des cendres séches dans son receptacle, pas de fumée irritante, pas d'odeur de tabac froid. I have tried a number of incense sticks, all with one common characteristic - a too perfume-like aroma. For me, this hits the right aromatic note. I picked it based on positive reviews and I am pleased with the purchase.
