Review: Fits Volvo 2003 S80 perfectly - Great product. perfect fit for our 2003 Volvo S80. have to use a small flat screwdriver and pry the retaining ring off (dirctly behind the head of the ball/socket, and inline with the shaft; you wedge the screwdriver in and pry back. the ring will lift a bit and then you can pull them off. putting the new ones on were a snap. I put the top (hood) side on first, and then had a tough time lining up and fitting the bottom one. I panicked for a few seconds, till i realized that you have to lift/lower the hood a few degrees, until the bottom one lined up....then it pops right on. very happy with this. Our near 20 year old volvo has a brand new hood function! thanks.

Great product. perfect fit for our 2003 Volvo S80. have to use a small flat screwdriver and pry the retaining ring off (dirctly behind the head of the ball/socket, and inline with the shaft; you wedge the screwdriver in and pry back. the ring will lift a bit and then you can pull them off. putting the new ones on were a snap. I put the top (hood) side on first, and then had a tough time lining up and fitting the bottom one. I panicked for a few seconds, till i realized that you have to lift/lower the hood a few degrees, until the bottom one lined up....then it pops right on. very happy with this. Our near 20 year old volvo has a brand new hood function! thanks.
