Cooking instruction needed in package
Delicious but where are the instructions? I asked the AI assisistant on Amazon which gave weird instructions: "Simmer for a few minutes." What the...?! I'm not giving one star, just because I want the manufacturer to correct this mistake and continue to supply the soup.

Delicious
Excellent quality. Best soup if you follow the on-line recipe. Have ordered multiple times.

Great soup base, going to be a pantry staple for me
I love Turkish and Turkish-influenced food and have learned how to cook some myself (e.g., imam bayildi, karniyarik, salads, etc.) but I've never had Turkish home cooking so I was unaware of tarhana. Thanks to the magic of YouTube, I recently found out about it and decided to order some as I don't have the capacity to make some myself (small NYC apartment, no counter, etc.). This is really good and will become a pantry staple for me. It's filling but not heavy. I had it pretty much straight up made with hot water and added some fresh black pepper and a bit of extra virgin olive oil. Soup is nice and filling if you're watching your calories and it's a good way to get some extra vegetables in, especially the ones that need to get used up. The bag itself is pretty sturdy and seals back up well, which is good, but it doesn't have instructions on how to rehydrate. I did it quickly and it was a bit lumpy but not in a bad way. Next time I'm going to let it sit for a while first and then rehydrate. I'll add some dried mint and maybe some extra vegetables. This is great for lunch, dinner, or even a late night snack as long as you factor in the relevant soaking time or use an immersion blender to break up the lumps. $10 for what amounts to probably a dozen bowls of excellent tasting soup? Sign me up!

Expired item
Expiration label was carefully ripped off from the last digit! Looking carefully (see pics) the last digit is definitely not โ5โ, so this was expired 12/16/2024 or earlier!!
