North Spore Organic Lion's Mane Mushroom Grow Kit, 4 lbs

Fast and easy! I highly recommend this kit!

amazon.com Feb 28, 2026 I received the lion's mane grow kit on Feb. 19 in good condition. I cut the plastic open in the usual X shape and put a hunidifier by the kit in the kitchen. It's now Feb. 28 and I just collected the large lion's mane off the grow kit. Very easy a nice looking fluffy mushroom! The size is about 8 inches high by by 6 inches wide and 5 inches thick. Pictures show day 3 and day 10, when harvested.

This was amazing. It took maybe 2 weeks. But my harvest was 8 oz. It was delicious.

This product was easy to use and the first flush grew pretty quickly and easily. The second flush was small, discolored and kind of dry so I pulled it out and hoped for the next one...it never grew anymore mushrooms. I did soak the block as they recommended and put up a plastic tent around it but nothing else ever came of it. The first flush was very tasty and I was really excited to try more products from them...but for the cost it just didn't produce enough to buy it again.

Worked great. Grew beautiful mushrooms. I hadn’t eaten Lions Mane mushroom before so I wanted to try it. I love mushrooms but not this one. Otherwise I grew them within a week and cooked them and we ate them. I’ll have to try some I’m familiar with next time.

Didn’t sprout fully, white lion’s mane turned dark orange before a full bloom could be achieved and I sprayed it 2 times a day as instructed on the box. Disappointed that did not get to consume the mushrooms and didn’t trust that it’s that simple to maintain to enjoy its rewards. I will try again in the future because I am not sure if it’s an environmental issue or I did not have a thumb to grow edible mushrooms. I threw the box in the trash 😩

These have always produced large flushes for me I. Humidity tent, I tried a competitor. It won’t even grow. This is a week a d half growth. There a little more but worth the extra $2. The cube that is no longer in a box is Northsporres. Beautiful lions mane

I spent more time looking at why I should cook Lions Mane mushrooms and did no research on how to grow. Assumed the kit information would be enough. You receive a pamphlet that combines info on four types of mushrooms and provides very little information. Then you finally get online when your mushrooms are brown and after nine days are barely out of the box and find out YOU DON'T SPRAY THEM WITH WATER. You only spray at the beginning. I am sure there are other reviews that discuss this but they have not made it to the top to be easily viewed. Plus, as you will find, Lions Mane is a difficult little guy, requiring 60-70 degrees, about 85% humidity and indoor lighting. You will see other kits that give you a plastic tent, and videos where they are spraying inside the tent. Everyone's indoor conditions can be drastically different so prior homework is necessary. I could not find any specific info on the North spore site, but I only gave it a few minutes and gave up.
