The mount is not as advertised! The pictures clearly show a belt clip. The molded plastic looks like a belt clip but there is none. The case is a waste of money without a clip.

Product name: TUSITA Spine Cradle Mount Compatible with Garmin inReach Messenger Plus Satellite Communicator - GPS System Accessories I wasn’t sure exactly what I’d be getting based on the name “cradle mount” but I went by the photos and got exactly what was pictured. This seems like it should be called something like a “carabiner mount” or “backpack attachment” accessory so I would’ve been assured that that is what I’d be getting! Thankfully, that is what I was looking for and what I received! I haven’t had a chance to take it out on a trail yet, but it looks like it will fit the Garmin Inreach Messenger perfectly! I intend to add a hairband around the device and the accessory just to be sure they stay together. I always carry extra hair bands along anyway, so this is a good place to store a spare or two. I really like that there are instructions written on the back of it since the instructions would get covered up otherwise, so that’s a nice feature! They are indented, so hopefully that will prevent the lettering from wearing off. My only concern with this device is the fabric attachment point where the carabiner is installed. The carabiner and the device itself look like really nice quality, but the use of a fabric strap has me concerned for how long it will last. I thought it would also have a clip feature, based on the looks of the back, but there is NO clip on the back of this…it just looks like a clip. I’m going to be looking at ways to sort of double attach the Messenger to my pack, for reassurance, but I do like that this can make it clip on with the carabiner. I’m going to give it a tentative four stars for now because everything else looks to be well-made and durable.

This product broke of my very first time using it. While inserting the Garmin inReach Messenger+ a retaining tab snapped off. Deeply disappointed with the quality of this product, especially since its durability is part of the marketing!

This mount is a great option for a secure way to carry my original Garmin InReach Messenger. My device fits perfectly and feels very snug once it's snapped in. It is easy to get the Messenger in and out of the cradle, but it stays secure while I'm moving. The mount includes the carabiner and the built-in hanger loop. One of the best surprises was finding that this device is compatible with the Garmin Spine Mount accessories. My Garmin branded belt clip fits the spine of this mount perfectly, making it even more versatile for how I want to carry it. I clipped it to the breast collar of my horse and went for a 3 hour ride with walk/trot/canter and no issues. The mount kept my device secure throughout the ride. It provides full access to the power and SOS buttons, the charging port, and even leaves the lanyard hole accessible. It's a well-thought-out design that doesn't interfere with the device's functionality. This item is a bit cheaper than other mounts, but does the job well.

Hab mir diese Halterung zugelegt, damit der GPS Empfänger oben auf dem Rucksack befestigt werden kann und trotzdem schnell griffbereit ist, und genau diese Anforderungen erfüllt er perfekt. Ich habe sowohl den Clip im Molle System ein gehackt als auch den Karabiner zur zusätzlichen Sicherung angebracht. Und auch bei langen Wanderungen Querfeld ein und durchs Dichte Unterholz habe ich keinerlei Probleme damit gehabt. Für den Garmin in Reach Messenger ist es absolut passgenau.

This product is a missed opportunity. The shell itself is very rugged and fits the device perfectly leaving perfect openings for all the buttons. Unfortunately the material part, which is supposed to hold the carabine is only glued to a plastic support which is screwed in the back of the shell. It only goes 2mm inside the plastic and it is only glued. It came apart at the slightest yank on the carabiner. That material should have been held in place by the screw too in order to make it 10 times stronger. There were numerous better solutions to make it hold better. I am very, very dissappinted and I will not even return it as it is a design flaw , not a faulty unit. I will try to find a solution by myself because I really like the shell. Stay away unless you want to mod it yourself, you will lose your device, the device which is supposed to save your life :) Edited: Found a basic solution with a washer leftover from my Ikea furniture, which is already solid no matter how much I pull :) Next step will be to find a longer piece of material as the original one is too snug
