Would this be practical against falling pine needles please?

Proberbly pine needles usually fall as clumps so should be ok I use the guard brush all the time , it catches leaves & moss for me ,I clean out the gutters once a year as we seem to get a lot of silt in the gutters, but it’s not necessary for others & you don’t have to do this ,I f you didn’t want, to they do cut out a lot of work . & no need to be using ladders all the time hope this helps .

Does this product come with the clips or do you buy them separate or do you need them at all???

No clips, but these can be bought separately. I didn’t need clips as my gutters were narrow enough for the guard to fit neatly under the roof tiles.

how stiff are the bristles?would it help to deter pigeons?

The bristles are not too stiff so that they can fit easily into the gutter, we do have pigeons around us but I have not seen them in the gutter - we have these brushes all around the bungalow essentially to keep the leaves out as we are surrounded by trees.
