I am a large woman at nearly 400 lbs, and the chair is even wider than my bottom, so there is plenty of room on both sides of me when I sit down. Very supportive, very sturdy, and very comfortable! It was easy & quick to assemble as well. Took me around 10 minutes to put together, very happy with this purchase!
