KINGRVER 10 Gallon RV Water Heater Tank Gas Electric Item

Worth the money. Perfect fit, the only downfall which isn't that big of deal, the original control is mounted inside the camper and this one had its own that we mounted inside the cubby hole, but if your camping, once you set it,it's not like your going outside to turn it off and on all the time. Since it is both electric and gas.

I do not know how this unit will perform as I just installed it two days ago. So I gave it one star. I installed this new hot water heater because my 20 year old existing unit experienced a water tank failure. It developed a ‘pin hole’ leak which was not to be repaired. It was somewhat challenging to enlarge the existing water heater hole to allow this new unit to fit. I had to cut through the aluminum framing that the RV manufacturer had ‘boxed in’ the original hot water heater with. The new hot water heater ‘controller’ wires were not easy to snake through the interior wall panels - the original hot water heater wiring was not compatible. The wires on the new ‘controller’ exit the controller from the bottom corner - wires would preferably exit the controller from somewhere in the rear of the unit so as to be able to hide the wires inside the wall panel behind the mounted controller. None of the existing plumbing lined up with the water heater inlet and outlet connections. So I re-plumbed all of the ‘pex’ tubing inside the water heater cabinet with new ‘pex’ tubing. I installed new ball valves to replace the existing plastic shut off and bypass valves. I spent about $300 dollars on Shark BITE ‘pex’ fittings, crimps, crimp tool. Three new ball valves and a fiberglass wire snake kit. The exterior door arrived bent up and damaged. I emailed the manufacturer and they were immediately on to my issue. I received a reply email within a couple of hours after mine was sent out. Once I provided to them ‘proof of purchase’ they initiated resolving my issue. I just now charged my fresh water system in the RV and checked the new water heater for leaks - no leaks apparent. It took 29 minutes for this new water heater to go from cold water to heated to the highest setting (140 degrees F) using both gas and electric heat setting. I have lived in this 5th wheel RV year round since July if 2017. The original hot water heater worked great up until the tank failure last week. I am hoping that this new KINGRVER hot water heater gives me the same dependable hot water I enjoyed from the original ATWOOD unit. Time will tell.

Good so far had a tankless it sucked but I ordered this 10gal tank and gets way better than tankless

Do not purchase No parts available Unit ran 20 minutes and stopped Trying to get replacement parts impossible

worked well for 7 months. then shut down for storage. failed to restart , cleared faults still no start. after 20 emails back and for , no help yet. fallowed manual but no luck.
