MOONCOOL Electric Trike for Adults, 500W/750W 20" Fat Tire Folding Tricycle

It took a few miles to feel comfortable on this e-trike but the more I ride it the more I'm starting to love it!!! I felt really unstable on it when I first got on, but am pretty comfortable on it after 27 miles. It's extremely stable! The battery was up to 72% when I turned it off and it has over 27 miles on it. The battery seems like it will have excellent range, I only charged it when I got it and the roads I ride are really hilly. It's a beautiful trike and I just love the color, but the seat is a bit uncomfortable after a few miles. I wish I could adjust it to lean back a bit but the half moon part on the seat to adjust it doesn't move. Assembly was fairly easy but it needed a couple adjustments. The handlebars were slightly off so I had to adjust them so they are perpendicular with the front wheel. One of the back tires didn't have air in it and the other two had different tire pressures. I'm used to working on ebikes and analog bikes so these adjustments weren't difficult for me, but if you're unfamiliar with working on them I would suggest you have it delivered to your local bike shop for assembly. Even with the few things that needed adjustments I think this e-trike is an excellent choice and I look forward to putting many miles on it! It's more powerful than my ebikes but cost less than them, and it has amazing cargo potential built into the included baskets.

I have really enjoyed this trike so far. It does require some assembly, but once put together, it's a solid trike. The throttle comes in handy when you're taking off from a stop, starting on an incline, or trying to peddle up a steeper hill. It also helps if you need to make a more speedy maneuver. The gears also work well if you prefer to use more pedal power. The integrated brake lights, headlight, horn, and turn signals are a nice touch and make me feel safer when I'm riding in the city. I bought the trike carrier for my suv so that I can take it downtown and ride it around at festivals and events. It gets lots of compliments. We've used it to help transport supplies around a site for an all day event we had and it still has plenty of juice left on the battery after going from 10a-8p. Oh, and the baskets! They are great baskets. Solid baskets. Can easily carry 2-3 cases of water or a cooler in the back basket. I used to ride this trike to get groceries and there was plenty of room to carry everything. My partner likes to put our 5yr old niece in the back and her small dog in the front basket and take them for a little ride around the neighborhood. They love it and we know they're safe given the heavy duty nature of the baskets and how they're bolted to the frame. I love the fat tires, super helpful for riding around the broken streets in New Orleans. And the wide wheel base and differential gears help it stay more stable on turns and going over large tree roots. The only drawback for this trike, and it's going to be something that affects almost any etrike, is the weight. This thing weighs close to 100lbs without the battery. You wouldn't want to carry it up any stairs for storage. But also, the frame is super solid and I know that's a give and take with weight. For funzies, my partner (230lbs) drove the trike once with me (115lb) sitting in the back basket. Not for a long distance, but across a park and we laughed the whole time. But the frame is definitely solid is what im gettimg at. It'll hold weight and handle a larger individual well. We did initially have issues getting the seat to stay up but we figured out we just needed to wipe the post down really good before tightening the screw (in case anyone else has that issue).

Received this about a week ago and these are my thoughts after week one. So much fun! This one folds, so it was super easy to assemble. The size is great, I'm 5'4" and my daughter is 4'9" and we can both ride comfortably. We take trails, some dirt and it rides awesome on both, including roads. I do wish the blinkers were on the front as well, just for more safety but I'm happy that we have them on the back! My daughter bought her own and we take them out nightly. Last night, we rode for a little over 2 hours and mine was close to dead but we averaged about 4 miles, so I'm confused on why the battery drained so fast. Definitely worth the money. We will be using them for a couple more weeks to just make sure we are still in long with them and we will invest in review mirror! I love the colors! Mine is the Orange (or Cinnamon) and my daughter has the robin egg blue one. Love that they have 2 baskets too, we have room for our dogs (eventually) and bags and drinks to take along as well. I will update after I've had it for a few weeks but so far, I'm in love. (I do feel the fenders are a bit flimsy and my daughters dented fairly easy, our fault they dented but I don't feel they should have but does not affect how the bike rides) Love the 3 wheels as I am getting older and don't have to worry about balancing or putting my feet down at every corner.

Beautiful bike, easy to put together took me byself about 3 hours. I havent road it yet but looks very well built.....Good buy

What a fun bike! I've had it about six months now and absolutely love it! My husband was able to put it together with ease, and it went together relatively quick. It took me a bit to get used to taking corners and the pedal assist, but now that I'm used to it, I don't know how I ever rode without it! I was unsteady on a two-wheeled bike and missed the joy of riding. At first, I was a little self-conscious of needing the trike, but I love it so much that it no longer bothers me. I have a a bike wagon that I use to bring my grandkids on rides and they love it, also! The battery lasts a good while, too! I haven't had any issues with it and would definitely get another one if something happened to this one.

This bike is so well made, easy to assemble, fun to ride I'm going to buy another one for myself. First one was for my wife, and she is in heaven with it.

I really like my trike and have gotten every except for I can get for it, I have only had it for a little over a year as of fall of 24, I have put 28 miles on it and then I’m not able to write it because the chain makes it up on noise. I have no clue what’s going on.

This thing is so cool! I’ve always wanted to get an e-bike but got the trike because of the baskets. It is very different from riding a two wheel bike though. I usually turn off the electric motor and pedal through turns because it feels like it wants to flip and you can’t really lean it like a regular bike. Aside from that though, it goes 15.5 mph and has pretty good torque. I am 5’11” and 185 pounds and it takes off very easily from a standing position. As for assembly? It took me about an hour but the instructions are VERY well done and have very clear images. My toddler could probably have followed the instructions. It even comes with all the tools you need and a little bike tool kit for maintenance on the go. The seat is very comfortable but I ordered one with a backrest and plan to order a bench seat for the back to put my two kids in.

Le roulement est doux et il est assez puissant pour que je puisse monter la côte devant chez moi. Je vous le recommande fortement, de plus, il a un panier assez grand à l'arrière, ce qui est commode pour les commissions.

This review is for the folding Mooncool bike Tk1. I really would have liked the seat on the other model but it doesn't come folded and I saw many people complain that it was hard to put together. I chose this model because it came folded and it was almost fully built. All that was needed was to put on the front wheel and add the baskets. It is very sturdy and I feel safe on it. I can no longer ride a 2 wheel bike because of balance issues. It takes some practice to get the feel of the trike. It can go pretty fast, but I prefer the slower speed to just enjoy the ride. It rides very smooth, the seat is comfortable, and the display is simple to understand.

The trike itself was wonderful, it did however not work for my abilities.

There are no gears on this bike. Once the motor is activated pedalling is useless.

The bike seems well built and my wife cannot wait to use it. Unfortunately it was received with a badly bent back wheel rim. It looks like it was damaged in shipping. I understand it was not the vendors fault and they have answered my questions quickly, however, they are out of stock of replacement rims. It has been weeks and we have not been able to use the trike. When and if I get the new rim I will update this low rating depending on how long this takes. I have been told it will take "some time" with no specific date I can expect a replacement.
