Review: Beautiful and bulbs come in very nice packing. - Bought these for a 4th of July get together, draped them across our yard underneath our fruit trees. Absolutely beautiful and gave out just the perfect amount of light. Family loved them! The bulbs are quite fragile and after breaking one I decided to lay out the entire string/cord under where we planned to hang them. Then I put the bulbs in right before hanging. They do include extra bulbs. I've never seen packaging for bulbs like this. The box comes with individual bulb slots fitted into heavy duty, sturdy styrofoam type material. Easy to hang. They come with decent hangers but we used bread ties to secure them to the tree branches. Yes, sounds tacky but hey, it worked and no one could see the ties. The cord is sturdy and made of good quality and the 100' was perfect for our needs. Will definitely be using them again.
Review: 100 ft incandescent can be shortened easily - These lights turned out to be affordable and perfect for my purpose. I wanted a 3 strand sun ray pattern coming off my pergola and attaching to a tree. I needed about 80 or so feet but didn't want to mess with connecting strands. I ordered the 100 foot long incandescent light strand. It's non-connectable to another strand so it has a cap bulb on the very end. I was easily able to cut the extra length off my strand and pry the top of the last "cap" bulb on the end of the strand and then insert the end into it and push the cap down to seal it. All I had to do was run my strand and then terminate it where I wanted to to end. Once it was safely capped off I ran power to it with and outdoor heavy duty extension cord and that's it. A little creativity with a tree strap and a string light hanging kit and everything is up nice and secure. I plan to replace the bulbs as they eventually burn out with shatter proof led bulbs of the same type. These are glass so they are fragile and can break like any other glass bulb. I inserted all of my bulbs first and placed each one back into the padding they came in. Then I had someone help me hang them on the wire as I carefully fed them the strand removing the screwed in bulbs from the padding as we went. Definitely easier when you have a second person to help you hang these.

**Q: Are these lights weatherproof and able to be kept up outdoors year round?**
A: I mistakenly left these (still in the box) outdoors in a bucket. Heavy rains and cold came and I found them submerged, frozen in an ice block. We dried them out and they STILL WORKED. Kudos to manufacturer/designers!

**Q: Is the globe covering the bulb plastic or glass?**
A: The globe surrounding the filiment is glass. They are delicate too

**Q: We have harsh winds. With the bulbs being glass, how durable are the bulbs?**
A: We also live with very harsh winds and snow.  I have them strung with very little sway to the wire so they can't hit anything and hardly move.  Mine have been outdoors for a few years now and have survived beautifully.  I am here to buy more!

**Q: I bought a 25 foot strand and now need 100ft more, can i plug the 25ft into a 100 ft strand or how should do it**
A: Consider that these are 5 watt incandescent bulbs, each 25 foot strand uses 125 watts. A hundred foot and one 25 foot strand together draw 625 watts or less than 5 amps. With the included 5 amp fuse, you should be good.

Lights are great. Put them up on above my deck and it has added a nice soft/yellow light. Its not bright white like some LEDs that make it feel institutional. The light is gives off is very pleasing. Durability seems good, had that up for over a month now without any issues and there has been some wind storms.
