I originally bought this electric kettle for my office to heat water for tea, oatmeal, and soup. It heats up incredibly quickly, even faster than my stovetop at home. I've now brought it home and started using it to cook pasta. It's efficient, easy to clean, and the lid doubles as a strainer. The only drawback for home use is its size, which is better suited for one or two people a serving. This electric Cooker is also ideal for students living in dorms who want to cook pasta or make ramen. You can also use it as a bowl after draining the water, but be sure to use plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the nonstick coating. - This version of the Cooker doesn't not have a temperature setting. You may have to look into an upgraded unit for that.UPDATE : After a year of use, I’m unfortunately reporting two issues with this unit. First, the nonstick coating has become quite sensitive to scratches; possibly cause I did use metal utensils, but despite precautions, I’ve ended up with several scratches. Second, when cleaning the unit, I discovered that if water seeps into the holes underneath, it can damage the LED bulb and blow it out near the button. It seems essential to be extremely careful while cleaning to prevent water from getting under the unit. Because of my concerns about the nonstick surface exposing metal, I’ve decided to retire this once-loved unit. I may consider upgrading to the model with a handle and multiple settings. Still an amazing product and will be missed. I may just keep it around to heat water for…something other than eating ?

Good little cooker for cooking noodle soup and regular soups. Very small and compact and easy to use. Very easy to clean but the only drawback is that there is no way to control the heat as it cooks at a high heat. It has a cover (lid) to cover after you have finished cooking. As the instructions state do not cook with the cover on it.

I purchased the TOPWIT in December 2022 and absolutely love it.Today 10/20/2025, Monday I dropped the lid on ceramic tile floor and it splintered and shattered into many different sized pieces.I went to see if I could order another lid only to find out the Topwit Hot Pot I originally ordered is no longer available. What a bummer.I would love to have a second Topwit hot pot like my first one.I thought the color, value and looks were top notch. It is extremely easy to use without any issues. It fit my purpose for use perfectly.I preferred the on off switch on the handle than a rotating switch on the side.

2nd Update (12/18/19) Ok I finally did the vinegar thing for 15 minutes then rinsed and washed with soap - it worked! The spots disappeared. I've changed my rating to 5 stars. Hopefully this product will last me for a while and will update this review for anything else going on.Update: 12/18/19 Ok so the manufacturer/seller answered my question quickly regarding the spots which is greatly appreciated. I have not done the vinegar solution yet (nor have I cooked/boiled anything since the review below). But I plan to do the vinegar solution sometime this weekend. I also plan to see if this item will work with my Jackery 240 solar generator – in regards to the lower power 200 watts setting. Once I do all that I will update this review. But I do know a couple of my co-workers who saw me using this product were in awe lol!I like that it is easy to use, detachable, boils in 7 mins and I can switch to lower heat and it will continue to boil. The eggs I boiled came out perfectly as long as you do it correctly (once it boils 10 mins then turn off). Unfortunately there is weird discoloration on the pot (see pics attached) that makes me wary to use it for other purposes like noodles and spaghetti. At least boiling eggs there is a shell to protect the eggs. So manufacturer please advise about these spots?!

I bought this for a couple of reasons. I work night shift and share a house with my mother so I'm always looking for things I can use to lessen the noise I make on nights when I'm awake and she's sleeping - so I thought this would be a good way to reheat soups or make pasta that meant I could stay in my room. I also thought that if it worked well I could take it to work to make fresh pasta versus reheating pasta or something.It works...okay. I made pasta in it first and it did all right. Water heated up quickly and the pasta cooked as normal. Dumped the pasta to drain and tossed some pasta sauce in to heat it up. This is where I started to notice an issue. The pasta sauce scalded to the bottom of the cooker pretty quickly. I dumped the pasta back in, mixed it up, and it was all fine but it was more of a mess than anticipated to clean. It wasn't HARD to clean, per se. I put some water in, let it sit for a bit, then was able to get all the scalded sauce off with minimal effort.The scalding issue is definitely a recurrent issue. I've made/reheated several soups in this and anything creamy based will scald very very easily, even on the "low" setting. It still heats it up nice and rather quickly, but even if you stir constantly, you're going to end up with scalded/burnt bottom.Also I've noticed that it shuts itself off rather quickly and randomly. I know it has an "anti-over-heat" setting that keeps it getting too hot but the last time I used it I barely got my soup to temperature and it had shut itself off.Overall - works okay for what it is but definitely not what I was looking for.

Love this hotpot pot. Perfect size and so convenient for 2 people. Before I would have to stand right next to the stove and now we can just sit on the table and comfortably eat. It has been working well so far and the quality is not bad and it is easy to clean.

this nonstick is terrible for cooking with and its causes really bad health problems. i didn’t realize until i bought it that there was a better version with steel inside so this is a big disappointment and i. going to have to return it or use it to boil water not to eat. DO NOT BUY unless you’re using it to just boil hot water. as soon as there is a scratch in the nonstick coating it’s going to start leaching toxic material into the food.

O único problema fica por conta da tomada, pois eu precisei de um adaptador, pois a tomada asiática é o chinesinho de 3 pontas =• fora esse incomodo, ela é muito prática e super fácil de usar. Vc pode fazer sopa p 1 pessoa ou miojo ou esquentar água. Basta acrescentar a água até o limite indicado, ligar (ferve em 8 min) e acrescentar os ingredientes. Como a tampa é de vidro, vc consegue acompanhar o cozimento. No caso de macarrão instantâneo, adicionar a massa após a fervura, misturar e adicionar os temperos e ingredientes que desejar. Cuidado para não esquecer de desligar, pois não é automático. Apaixonada é a cor combinou com a minha chaleira elétrica que trouxe do Japão há muitos anos atrás.

love the quick boiling of water but the power cable should be easier to pull out
