Appears well-made. The original Ranger hoses seem to crack/fail at the spud of the gas tank where the outer hose attaches. I started noticing gas running on the ground whenever I topped off the gas tank. I first noticed this sometime in 2020 (when the truck was 24 years old). I finally decided to replace the hose recently. I did the job by removing the tank from the vehicle (I also renewed the fuel pump and the two tank-holding straps at this time). I would definitely NOT recommend doing it this way. After the fact, I found out that it is quite easy to remove the entire bed, which gives access to the top of the tank where the filler hose attaches, and also allows for easy access to the fuel pump and other components. To remove the bed there are only 6 ea T55 head bolts, the two taillight electrical connectors, and the 3 small sheet metal screws holding the filler neck to the body at the fill door. (There are numerous videos on YouTube showing how to do this. They say two average people can lift the bed off once unbolted/disconnected.) To replace the filler neck hose from below, you have to support the tank with a floor jack or similar, remove the two tank straps (first run the tank down till nearly MT, or pump out the gas), and drop the tank down until you can access the hose clamp holding the filler hose to the tank spud, so you can loosen the clamp and pry off the hose. This wasn't too bad, and after disconnecting the filler neck from the body I was able to remove the old filler neck hose from the vehicle. The difficulty arose when installing the new filler neck hose. Because of the bent nature of the hose and the fact that it is large, it is difficult to pull the hose all the way down of the left (driver's) side of the spud, while simultaneously tightening the hose clamp. Maybe if you are very strong you can do this easily, but I had trouble. I finally got the hose down far enough where I got it clamped and it should be OK, but it wasn't that easy for me. It would definitely be easier from on top with the bed removed, and I will be doing it this way if I ever need to again. It is also possible to remove/replace the tank-holding straps by merely supporting the tank with a jack (or remove/replace one at a time). The tank can stay up in place for this. I suppose if you have access to a lift and can get the vehicle way off the ground, removing/installing the tank isn't bad, but doing this with the rear end on jack stands is definitely a giant PITA.
