I bought this YongEid portable CarPlay screen and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The installation was simple and quick, the screen size is great, and the connection with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto works really well. The sound quality is clear, and the backup camera feature is very helpful when parking. I use it every day and so far it has worked without any issues. For the price, I feel like it does a great job and really modernizes the car. The only downside is that the material quality could be a little better, but overall I’m satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants CarPlay without replacing the car’s original stereo system.

I wish I would've read the reviews before buying. Don't waste your money on this product. It worked good enough for one week. It was a little clunky, slow to connect to Bluetooth but eventually got there after 1 to 5 minutes. It was disappointing and a bit dangerous that you cannot enlarge the map image AND the screen would be washed out on sunny days even after changing the brightness and contrast controls several times. And that all was a barely good enough period of the first week. Week two the unit says it is connected to my phone's Bluetooth and my phone says its connected to the device, but when I pull up Android Auto, the device just says connecting for up to an hour with only connecting one time out of the last 30 attempts, so now I have a worthless unit and I'm out some money. This device is hot garbage, and I wish I could get my money back, but I had to wait more than a month to hook it up and the return window has closed. Be careful of the manufacturer. If the description the seller gives seems like a broken language or difficult to comprehend, it's probably a piece of junk. Junk products no matter how cheap is not worth your or my time or money. This brand/seller seem to be out to make a quick buck regardless of how cruddy the product is. Learn from my mistake, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I purchased this CarPlay device for an older vehicle that I own. I wanted to be able to use Apple Pay to listen to my music and for the use of the navigation system. I can speak for the screen and CarPlay, but I have not hooked up the backup camera. The sound is good and I am able to use my phone hands-free through the device. I will say that the aux port in my vehicle tends to be loose so I did have to rig it for a tighter fit in order to have clearer sound. Honestly, we just stuck a toothpick in there lol. It’s a great alternative to getting a whole new system, especially for the price.

UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER: seller gave me a new device, and it connects to AUX. This then bumps it from a 2 stars to 3 stars. Only negative is the device makes a static sound when the music isn’t playing. I just have learned to turn down my volume when I do not need to listen to music. Original post: Bought this for Prime Day, and have had this working for about 2 months now. Good install, only took 30 mins. Around month three, the AUX port stopped working. I have to tape the AUX from the back to the front to hopefully get audio, but it no longer works. Extremely disappointed. The only function that now works is the FM transmitter, and when traveling long distances, I have to change the channel every few miles due to the cracking. My car does not have Bluetooth, so it’s not an option for me.

6 Month Update upon installing The locking mechanism for the suction cup broke about a month in and has been hanging for the rest of the time. The actual unit is laggy, and has glitches when it comes to using apple and Google maps by freezing the image mid drive. On the first couple of months, the carplay stereo would have no audio when starting my car and I would have to factory reset it every time, leaving the customize background option pointless due to the reset. The screen quality is decent for the price. It is easy to use. Installing the back up camera was easy but the quality of the camera is grainy and not the best out there, any slight shine will leave the camera blinded, but not that bad for night. For what it costs, its decent for a temporary radio.

This portable wireless CarPlay stereo is a GREAT option if you want to upgrade your stereo in an older vehicle as long as it has an aux port, the sticky pad that the mount sticks to doesn't leave a nasty residue so you can move it with and you don't have to worry about the placement, leaving some permanent mark on your car. The only thing I don't like is the Bluetooth has a slight delay for videos.

This screen is a life saver for navigating my elevator service route, it’s the perfect size for my transit 150 van! The adjustable brightness is great when taking night calls, and I needed a part replaced and without question they sent me a replacement. 10/10 would recommend.

I wish I would've read the reviews. Please don't waste your money on this product. It worked great for about 10 days and then the lagging and freezing began. I thought it was the firmware so I tried the OTA update, which says it takes just a few minutes. After 45 minutes it still hadn't completed and the screen warns you not to turn off the device or restart until it completes, so now I have a worthless unit and I'm out some money. This is garbage and I wish I could get my money back. Be careful who you buy from. If the description the seller gives seems like a broken language and difficult to comprehend, it's probably a piece of junk. I Love my fellow humans, but the greed within is something I don't like at all. This brand or seller seem to be out to make a quick buck regardless of how poor the product is. So please, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
