Update: so my legs still seem to be reactive with bumps and never really smooth after 2 weeks of use. There are new bumps or old bumps or new hairs growing that was missed. I am going to stick with it and update in another week or two. Although the pain is not bad now, The after bumps continue to be an issue for all areas including the bikini and under arm area. Also, in growns are a definite issue but not that much more than shaving. So, I am not sure tossing my shaver out is the way to go. If my skin could be less reactive, I would prefer the epilator to the razor any day. It’s easy to use and the pain is better over use.This is my first epilator. I did get a lot of red bumps on my legs (it lasted a while 2 days and still not fully smooth yet)but I can tell by the third time, they are starting to get used to the idea and will eventually work out. My under arms hurt the worst at first-like child bearing pain-I could barely do it and needed to stop a few times; but, by time 5 (3 partials and full time 2) it was fine and not even painful!! Plus, the massage head makes it easier to maneuver around that area and dove deodorant keeps bumps away in that area. It now looks great and much better than shaving! Bikini area was also more painful than the legs but tolerable. The dove deodorant helps keep most of the bumps away there also. I also used tend skin and it seems to help a little. I tried it on baby fine hairs on my arms(never shaved there before but I thought why not) and it did the trick with only bumps for 30 mins or less-hair gone and smooth! Overall, it seems to be a good epilator and I don’t think I will go back to shaving!

Got it because my skin is prone to infection and shaving makes it happen more often but I’m not willing to give up smooth legs. Yanking hair out was more painful than expected, the rollers help a little but not much. I know it’ll take some adjusting so I’m not docking stars for that. Doesn’t pinch skin or anything, just pulls hair. I like the shaving attachment, definitely more gentle than the standard razor so maybe that’ll fix the reoccurring skin issue and the bikini area comb thing that goes on top of it is convenient. Battery lasted much longer than I expected but I don’t remember how many hours were promised. Roomate and I shaved both legs thoroughly without needing to recharge. Even if I decide not to use the epilator piece we’ll still use this frequently enough to justify the price.Edit: I’ve used it four times now and I love it. I haven’t shaved in two weeks and my legs are not only smooth but irritation free. I’ve used Gold Bond after every time and I exfoliate before and after to be sure. First time sucked really badly but now I take only a few minutes to do both legs. This really worked out well for me.

I've been ordering products from Amazon for years, but this is the first product review I've ever completed.  Let me preface this by saying that I AM A WUSS when it comes to pain. I wanted to try this method because I hate how frequently I have to shave my legs.I have used it twice on my legs with really good results.  It doesn't grab the fine hairs which is annoying, but my legs were super smooth for a week. I don't know that I would call the sensation pain, but it does feel weird. I didn't have a problem with pain tolerance on my legs.Today, I worked up enough nerve to do my underarms and all I can say is OUCH! It does help to pull the skin tight with one hand and use the epilator with the other, but you really need an extra hand to help pull the skin enough to reduce the pain.I would recommend this product and would purchase again.

Anyone who tells you that this doesn't hurt is a dirty rotten liar. I can't even describe what it feels like but then again I have a normal pain tolerance. Those who do not think it's painful must not have nerve endings. I take 4 - 200mg ibuprofen, wait 1 hr, then use this in the shower. It does a great job and the meds lessen the pain considerably. I only use this on my legs and I cannot imagine using it on my bikini area. I would recommend this easily but you should know what you are getting into.

This product does a good job for what it is. I used it on my legs, the pain was not so bad and it doesn't get all the hairs but it gets most of them. When I've tried it on my bikini area, it's been very painful. I had to try a few times before I got the courage to do the whole thing. It was still super painful. I'll let y'all know what it's like after doing it again, but heads up, it sucks. Still made it mostly smooth, but waxing is way more comfortable so far because it's faster. I'll update after I have to do it again and let y all know if it gets any better.

I love this combination; razor and the epilator. Either way works very well. There were some negative reviews about the razor causing some inflammation but it didn’t do in my private areas. I use the epilator on my legs and underarms and I didn’t see any problem either. I have to tell you that I have very sensitive skin; easily bruises and gets inflammated. I am planning buying another one for my daughter since she liked the razor option. BTW, she wasn’t sensitive either, she is strawberry-blond. She is not very good handling pain. If she is okay with the product then it is very good design otherwise I wouldn’t consider buying one for her!

It was extremely painful on my legs the first time, but it's almost painless now. It's completely painless on arms. It's way too painful to use on the underarms though. It does not give smooth results like shaving does and I have stubble even minutes after using it so maybe I need a better model. This is not comparable to waxing like the description implies. I do have coarser than average hair though so that could be why. Epilating does cause ingrown hairs and other bumps, so exfoliate and moisturize consistently. I've been epilating for about 2 months now. I will continue for a few more months to see if it gets better, but if not, I will stop.

Is very good machine just not for my skin is to irritating i prefer waxing now is less irritating for me and last me more but this machine is good

I used it on arms , legs and underarms , found it painful while used first time but second time it was ok and the good thing is hair don’t grow back soon , it took me almost 15-20 minutes to use and peace of mind for 3-4 weeks , it really works . I am giving 4 stars because I think there should be more attachments in this price as there are only shaver and epilator
