Product Description No remote control Recommendation: To smoke food at low temperatures, first set the smoker to 250-275°F (121-135°C), allow it to generate ample smoke, place then food inside and adjust the temperature accordingly. If the initial temperature is below 250℉, the smoker may not produce constant smoke. Before first use, clean the device to remove manufacturing residues like oil and dust. Steps: 1.Clean interior with a wet sponge and mild detergent, then air-dry. 2.Wipe interior walls with a cloth and a bit of cooking oil. Avoid oiling the smoke box, heating elements, grease tray, or water tray. 3.Keep water and smoke boxes empty with the vent open. 4.Power up the smoker, set to 275°F, and run for 2 hours. 5.Cool down the smoker. 6.After these steps, your smoker is ready for use. Note: During initial heating, some oil smoke and odors may occur due to residues. This is normal and should largely dissipate after high-temperature operation for 4 hours. This process removes impurities and odors effectively. *Protective gloves are recommended.

First this device is China made but delivered from US, being with an US plug and 110V. Had to buy an transformer. After the first use I cleaned the water tank and the fat collector pan, with soap and water, and parts of the galvanization already came off. The rolls at the bottom that are meant to let you move it around, are fixed with pins that ate too long and scratch all over the floor. The temperature display is Fahrenheit only. The remote control works up to 3 meters, which makes it pretty useless. Definitely not worth the money.

This smoker is perfect! We used it to smoke two whole pork shoulders on the first use for a family event and they turned out amazing. The East Oak smoker is easy to use and the perfect size for our family. It is durable, stable, and can be used for a variety of items. We have smoked pork, corn on the cob, and jalapeno poppers so far and will continue to use it on a regular basis. Customer service is top notch!
