ORGANIC TEXTILES Natural Latex Bed Pillow with GOTS Certified Organic Cotton Cover - (King, Firm) - Pack of 1

For starters, I am 5'8" (172cm) with fairly broad shoulders and a heavy head. I ordered this pillow because I am a side sleeper and I was suffering from chronic neck and shoulder pain that would leave me with extreme headaches lasting for 4-8 hours upon waking. Memory foam, cotton, and pillows made out of other materials do no provide the proper support. Memory foam compresses, sinks, and then becomes stiff which is not comfortable nor supportive. Other materials require constant fluffing and folding and such to get into a decent shape but still fall short in the support department. The pillow itself is quite different from memory foam which is exactly what I was looking for. In comparison to memory foam, these pillows don't sink and become compressed over time as you rest your head on them. They are very supportive and responsive. As soon as you lift your head, the pillow springs right back up. It feels and behaves kind of like what you would expect whale blubber to feel like lol. I ordered the firm but it isn't so firm that it is uncomfortable. I also ordered the king because it is approximately 6.5 inches high as opposed to 6. For side sleepers with broader shoulders, pillow/loft height is one of the most important factors for keeping your neck aligned. It is difficult to measure myself, but I estimate from the center of my neck to the edge of my shoulder is roughly 7-9.5 inches. I am laying on my side as I write this review and it fills in that gap and supports my neck perfectly. If you are suffering from neck and shoulder pain, you should really give this pillow a try. Packaged and delivered as expected. The stitching and overall quality are great and as expected. There is a very mild odor to it but it does not smell bad or like harsh chemicals. It has a "new" scent to it that I can only smell if I put my nose against it directly. I imagine any new pillow would have a similar smell. It doesn't smell gross or like chemicals the way memory foam does.

I am happy with this latex pillow. I use it mostly for side sleeping. I am not sure if this pillow would be ok for back sleeping, because the head might be a little too high- But it depends on how you are using it. It is at least worth a try, because this pillow is that good. I could tell that it was freshly made because it was very bouncy, and responsive. When latex gets old, it dries out, and becomes less buoyant. It is nearly impossible to find a good latex pillow. Latex is rarely perfect, so I always expect differences in Latex items. And this one is Dunlop (not Talalay). I ordered the Firm, and it really feels like a Medium- it was a little softer than expected. But it was still very buoyant, and it has that light, bouncy feel that I like. I highly recommend this latex pillow in the Firm ( medium or soft might be too soft). I will be ordering one of their Firm Latex Mattress Toppers- hopefully it is as good as the pillow.

Finally! Back story. I have had severe cervical spine pain with headaches for 25+ years. Tried every kind of pillow there is. From Down to Memory Foam. About 10-12 years ago while looking for a new mattress, I came across a Latex pillow. I bought the King size, firm and never looked back. For the last few years, I have noticed my wonderful latex foam pillow had gone flat after having it for nearly 8 years. Alas, the pillow that I love could not be found anywhere. I have literally tried 7-8 latex pillows from various retailers to no avail. Desperate, I started looking on Amazon and reading hundreds of reviews. I finally settled on this one with fingers crossed. I purchased the King size, Firm. I am 5'4", weigh 115 lbs and the King Firm is my Goldilocks. And I am thrilled to report that I have finally found a Latex pillow that is comparable to the one that I have cherished. It has a great weight to it. The firm is perfect for my needs. No odor. Took about 2 nights to get used to it. It is so comfortable. I am so happy to have found what I have been looking for. So much so that I am purchasing a back-up. A pillow is such a personal thing. What is perfect for one person, may be a nightmare for someone else. So if you are wary about trying this, don't be. Just because some reviews are bad, this might be the right one for you. I am one happy camper 🤗 🖖

To be honest, this pillow is not as described, it's better than described! I originally ordered a king firm for me and a queen firm for my dad since we're both true side sleepers. For some reason the queen felt spongy soft, nothing like the king. And the king had a firm spongy like firmness which was great but not exactly what I wanted. Since I really wanted one with a little firmer spring back not a bounce back, my dad took my king and I returned the queen. As I have cervical (neck) degenerative disk disease, I needed a medium-high/at least 5.5 to 6inches, 80% Firm but 20% soft loft (think of a memory foam latex mix- not squishy) for support, and searched for a quick replacement. While wanting to try the King Extra Firm here, there weren't any reviews for it (yet) and it always gave an almost 2wk delivery time frame- which seems like forever to a Prime/need it now bandit lol. So, I tried MALOUF Z 100% Natural Talalay Latex Zoned Pillow - King - High Loft, Firm since it arrived in a day. It was somewhat like the queen firm I described here so don't waste your time as I now call it the Mal-Loft😒. While sending that back, I tried the JUVEA All Natural Talalay Latex Pillow with TENCEL Lyocell Fiber Cover - King Size – High Profile/Medium Density and then the Brooklyn Bedding Talalay Latex King Firm. I'll just say read my reviews for them to save time, $$$ and especially with Brooklyn Bedding Talalay Latex King Firm- save all including your health😱. Anywhooz, I'd been back and forth checking the Extra Firm for a faster delivery time to my dismay. While sending all the liars back (yes, I had 3 boxes in my trunk at once for drop off at UPS), I saw a used King Firm here for $30 less than the original price WITH PRIME 2-DAY DELIVERY 😎. I figured damaged packaging ok, it'll be just like my dad's so worse case it'll at least be doable, unlike the rest- but boy was I wrong.... Turns out, this pillow isn't just like my dad's, IT'S BETTER THAN HIS AND I'M TRULY IN LOVE WITH IT😍😘😍😍😍 !!! I honestly believe it's the EXTRA FIRM as it's firmer than his, and is (not a spongy bounce) basically just like a memory foam latex mix that springs back as I described above😃😀😁. Yeah, I know that means there was a lie or mistake somewhere 😬- firm or extra firm??? Yet the EXTRA FIRM is really what I figured I needed and wanted all this time, right?!!😁😄😉😂 I wrote this review the way I did so it will be known this is a real and truthful review. I truly hope this review gets posted for both The Firm and The Extra Firm (as the Extra Firm seems to have disappeared from their page) as I believe I now have them both. They are EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED AND PERFECT! THANKS ORGANIC TEXTILES, you're the best hands down!

I will preface this review with saying, I did end up returning the King FIRM pillow. I can only recommend FIRM if you're either 6-7ft tall with huge shoulders or your head weighs 15lbs or something outlandish. It's too firm for most and will push your head up just out of comfort. I've seen other reviewers mention the same and should have heeded their advice - so I'll reiterate it again, should someone stumble upon my review. That said, the Medium (or medium-firm as listed here vs the mfg site) is the Goldilocks' just right! Because memory foams respond to pressure slower and are slower to bounce back, you may be feeling less support as you move around at night - I've woken up with stiff necks on both memory foam and fill pillows. A solid latex pillow resolves this issue because of the instant response to movement. Excellent support all night long, FINALLY. And while all solid core pillows will sleep warm (or memory foams sleep hot..) This isn't totally uncomfortable. It does get a little warm (I sleep hot/have traditionally been seeking cooling pillows to alleviate that issue to some success) but it's a lighter material should you need to flip it, and I've not had a problem to a point of it waking me. And let's face it, next step up is a cooling latex pillow - which those... don't really exist unless you want to pay nearly double the cost of this pillow for something like the Purple Harmony (also worth a browse if money is no object). Overall though, this pillow should suit most users with support and comfort - wish I had found it sooner! Good luck, happy sleeping!

Good quality and firmness for side-sleeper. When replacing an older latex pillow, who knew that the dimensions for a "standard size" had changed?? Don't believe sheet sizes have expanded. Unable to use embroidered, vintage pillowcase collection because this product is just too large. Not a happy trade-off.

I placed my order during Black Friday for two king sized "firm" Dunlop latex pillows for under $100 each, thinking I got a good deal. I was given an estimated delivery date of December 6th, but a few days later, the seller updated the estimated delivery date to late December, which annoyed me because there were plenty of the same pillows in stock to ship out ASAP, yet my order shipment was delayed by nearly 3 weeks! I checked a few times; they never ran out of stock of the king sized "firm" pillows, so IDK why there was a several week delay in shipping my order. Also, I ordered "firm" Dunlop latex pillows and the pillows I received didn't feel firm at all. They felt very soft and not supportive at all, so pillows were likely incorrectly labelled prior to being shipped out, or maybe their "firm" pillows aren't firm enough to support side sleepers (as previous reviewers had mentioned). Overall, the value wasn't there and added with the fact that the "firm" felt a lot more like "soft" pillows, I returned both pillows. My tip to you - I'd avoid purchasing from Organic Textiles. Quality is no longer there and they're overpriced for the quality (you can find similar stuff at TJ Maxx or Home Goods), which is a shame because I previously purchased a 3.5" thick Dunlop latex foam topper from them and loved it because it was both soft and supportive.
