Looking for spikes? Add to cart now.
Surprisingly fast and reasonable shipping on a 40lb box of metal, easy transaction and you can't beat the price on these spikes. Great all around buy if you're looking for a bunch of slightly rusty railroad spikes. They are good quality with only minimal surface rust, great for a multitude of crafts and blacksmithing. Will buy again. A+ seller.

Perfect for beginner blacksmithing projects
These spikes came rusty as H-E-Double hockey sticks. They look like they were salvaged from a railroad remodel, as in these sat on a railroad that was in use for fifty years lol. However, I bought these to practice moving metal in a forge. For that, they are perfect. Cheap, easy to clean up to a decently clean surface (see pic) with an angle grinder, and easy to heat in a gas forge. Are they perfect steel to make perfect knives with? No. Are they good for blacksmithing practice? YES. Easy to forge, very cheap, excellent for a person who has watched too much forged in fire and thinks they can be a blacksmith. Just know you are not getting 50 brand new spikes. These things have been rode hard and put up wet, but with about 2 minutes of prep with a grinder, they are good to go. I would purchase again and recommend to fellow newbie smiths.

these are definitely railroad spikes!
not cheated, not lied to. BEFORE YOU BUY RAILROAD SPIKES: consider what you are using them for. they are made of low-grade steel, meant to be able to be smashed down with a hammer and to hold down railroad tracks. this means they are NOT good for making quality blades out of. Use them for other projects- I made a coat rack out of these and some reclaimed wood- but don't expect a knife made of these to last more than a few cuts at best

Perfect for Me
I am a preacher and I used these for a Good Friday sermon instead of purchasing reproduction crucifixion nails for an illustration and these worked perfectly. They were dirty and rusty and needed to be washed but that is to be expected. I received these fast and I am very satisfied.

Better than expected
When they showed up the box had torn open on the corner and one fell out when I picked up the box. I was sure some were going to be missing, but it actually had a few more than 50 still in the box! The railroad spikes are all straight with minor surface rust (which was expected). Shipping did take a few days longer than expected but if I ever want a bunch of railroad spikes again I would definitely reorder.
