Electrolytes = Salt; yes it adds a salt taste.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at all the reviews saying how disappointed they were because it tastes like salt. Um. Electrolytes. Any 3 minutes spent researching this word would inform the reader that electrolytes ARE salt. “Electrolytes are substances that, when dissolved in a liquid like water, separate into ions and can conduct electricity. They are essential minerals found in body fluids like blood, sweat, and urine, and play a crucial role in various bodily functions. Common electrolytes include sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, magnesium, and phosphate.” Yes the product when mixed with water will taste salty, but isn’t that the point? The suggested amount of mix per 12-16 oz is debatable but it’s easily fixed by reducing the amount you add next time. So far this product is exactly as it says: Salt. To add to plain water. To replace the salt you lose when you sweat. No added flavor. It is salt so it tastes like salt. Buy this if you understand what electrolytes are. If you don’t, go buy Gatorade.

Easy to drink, salty taste but good
Huge fan! These saved me. I don’t like flavored drinks and was having a hard time with keeping my electrolytes up. This does have a small salty taste but I preferred that over a fruity flavor.

Small but good
Didn't expect the size to be so small. Im used to huge tubs of protein shakes. But its dissolves super quick. Has no flavor or odor. I can tell it will last forever. I feel super hydrated. No more leg cramps.

Not very salty - which is a good thing, imo.
Unflavored, yes…. but to be expected it does change the “flavor” of the water a little. That happens anytime you add something to water. My tastebuds are quite sensitive. This is something I’ll be continuously purchasing. It doesn’t taste awful and isn’t very salty. I don’t gag when I drink it. I blends in fairly well. The scoop is tiny and you kinda have to dig for it. I was surprised when the product arrived. The container was/is smaller than I expected; I thought, “there’s no way that there is 100 servings in here.” Then I couldn’t find the scoop and thought they forgot to include it. I dug around and found it. I would say overall this is worth it. Taste great. Not salty (I’m overly sensitive to salt). Colorless. And there isn’t a bunch of unnecessary additives. You could easily travel with this.

first pack was good, second pack came completely solidified.
if you're buying this expecting 1-1 gatorade tasting drink, you'll want to look elsewhere. we bought this in hopes of being able to make our own 'gatorade' at home without all the extra fluff. the lil dosing scoop is small, but dont let that fool you into thinking you need more. for example, i made a pitcher of lemonade and the math was telling me i'd need 5-6 scoops, but having not tried it i just said "f it, make it 10" and it was a bit too much 😅 made it again with less scoops and it's much better, we wont be going back to commercial electrolyte drinks. it's flavorless (except the addition of the sodium) and complimented home made lemonade well, i imagine it mixing and tasting well with things like crystal lite or MIO. UPDATE: after ordering our second container, it arrived completely solidified and not powdery at all. i didnt have time to return it as we needed electrolyte drinks asap, so i'm currently chiseling it out of the pack it came in, but it's SO tough! i haven't even chiseled out the scoop yet! will probably be trying another brand after this pack is gone. i wanted to love it so much.

This product is tasteless! Just what I wanted!
I was honestly getting tired of the flavors of the electrolytes I had been using (several brands). I tried this one and love it. It's like simply drinking a glass of water. If I focus on it, I can tell it has a little more of an umami type flavor, but it's so slight as to be not noticeable. Also, the powder does not cake at all, unlike the flavored powder in pouches.

EDS approved.
This has changed my life. It dissolves so easily and doesn't taste terrible, it isn't loaded with tons of artificial flavor, sweeteners or sugars, so it just does what these things are supposed to do without also hurting people in the process. I stay hydrated and it's clearly really effective, I have felt nothing but good things, it has been super easy to alter it to be exactly as strong as I need it to be, the little scoop is great and makes it so easy to tell how much you need to be using. Ever since I switched to this, I have not had headaches and other problems that unnecessary additives cause for people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
