Aquascape 91007 Ultra Pump 800 for Small Ponds, Fountain, Waterfalls, and Filters, 793 GPH

I have had this for about a year now. It works great. The two-stage filter on this (outside slotted plastic, inside porous foam) works wonderfully at keeping out leaves and debris. Very pleased.

Still working great with our indoor fountain.

Good product in general. Best flow rate/watt from the pumps I’ve tested so far. Flow rate at 1.5’ height was just about 600 gallons and the watt meter showed a maximum of 50.7W. That’s all I gotta say for now. Will update when I can.

I wanted to write a review to help others that might be thinking of this pump..My first Ultra pump was the 400 with a 7.5 Max head height. I have a 5 foot basalt rock fountain that sits in a 75 gallon reservoir. My first pump was still going strong after 3 years of a lot of use...but I was never happy with the water flow. I wanted a little more Max. head height (higher bubbles coming from the top). I even called the company and asked and they assured me the 400 would be plenty of flow for the height of my fountain. In my opinion it wasn't enough. I recently read another review that said go bigger and I completely agree. This time I went with the 800 series with a rated 9 foot head hight...Now I have the flow exactly as I wanted it...I have attached a video and a photo so you can see. For info, inside the reservoir the hose goes horizontally, about a foot before it starts upwards the 5 foot height of my fountain. If you have multiple fountains I would go even bigger so you get a decent flow out the top. Hope this helps.

I previously tried the Freesia 400 and 600 pumps for this fountain and they didn’t have enough power to create a soft, audible, bubbling fountain in my vessel pot. This Aquascape 800 is perfect! It doesn’t have to run at full capacity and that helps save the life of the pump. I love the setting at which I currently have it set. Frommmybscreened porch I see and hear the melodic bubbling effect.

I'm starting my 3rd season with this pump and can say its OK. The worst part about it is a protective sponge placed before the impeller which clogs easily so I had to remove it.

Information states clearly that 3way diverter is included. This is not the case.

I've had this pump installed now for about a month. It turned out to be more pump than I really needed for my basalt fountain. Works great with zero maintenance. I had another Aquascape (760 GPM I believe) pump that ran day and night, season after season for about 5 years. It would still be working had I not allowed it to dry out after I moved. You CAN but parts for these pumps and had I known that, I'd still be using the older 760 GPM pump. Anyway, these Aquascape pumps are a little pricey but just keep on running and running and running and...........

Ordered this product to replace an identical model which operated well for 4 years used to pump water for a spitter. This replacement worked well for 3 weeks then quits. Pulled it out of the pond to check filter condition, checked OK and then test in a bucket of water. Worked for a couple of hours then quit again. Missed return window by a couple of weeks. Will update review if Aquascape will support this product.
