USDA Organic Orange Jojoba Oil Hand Salve for Rich Conditioning (2 oz)

Update to original review after several months of using- I now LOVE this product and changed from 4 to 5 stars. The container is small but a little goes a long way. It is very emollient and really softens dry skin. Very natural and soothing product with a light shell. I’ve now ordered multiple scents of this product as I’m now hooked on using it! Original review: I love the natural ingredients and the salve is very soothing and moisturizing. Salve of course does not sink in as fast as lotions or creams which is fine by me. I should have paid a bit more attention to the size as it was much smaller than what I expected for the price. The scent was slightly orange with some other smell I couldn't name. It smelled OK, just had a natural smell. It seems to be a very high-quality product and I like it, but have to think twice about purchasing again due to smaller container for price, but I know jojoba oil is expensive. Overall I think it is a really good product though and I'm glad I tried it.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! This salve isn't just great for skin--if you have a beard it's a wonderful way to soften, condition, and groom it so it looks neater (the beeswax helps hold it). Just rub some in both hands to melt it, then rub it deep into your beard--down to the skin where the jojoba oil is a the best oil for your skin. Then rub the rest on your face! The orange is so lightly scented that people might not even notice. It feels light, not greasy, yet it's deeply moisturizing. And the fact that it's all natural jojoba and olive oil, plus beeswax means it's good for your skin and hair. The 2 oz package is enough for months, and the small size makes it easy and legal to take through TSA for air travel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Non-greasy formulation effective in providing moderate level of hydration without making your hands slick. The orange scent is pleasant and not overpowering at all. The product was very inexpensive for its high level of effectiveness. I enjoyed this product and will purchase again when I’ve run out.

This is a great little hand salve, that works very well on super dry skin especially hands. Not greasy at all & smells very nice.

I had previously bought the lavender one but wanted to try the orange. Love them both. I use it every night on my hands and elbows, my husband started using it too :) Yes, it's a bit oily when you massage it on your skin and it melts, but it gets absorbed right away. The scent is fantastic and soft. I don't like perfumy stuff so I don't buy things with "fragrance" added. This has an orange smell but you'd have to put your nose to it. It's also a perfect size, not too big that would go rancid and not too small that it's uncomfortable to handle. Will keep buying it. I suggest to the company to add other natural scents like lemon verbena. I'll try them all!

This stuff really works. It takes a good half hour or so to be absorbed, so I put it on a fair amount at night and don cotton gloves - this is not something you're going to want to apply as you head out the door. Between dry winter air and drying hand soap at work, my hands are parched and prone to splitting, and I definitely notice if I skip a few nights of salve. It's making a big difference and works far better than any lotion I've tried. I tried Burt's Bees first, but it reeked. This is a simpler product - only four ingredients, all of which are perfectly recognizable - and while I wouldn't call the scent subtle, it's pleasant and not overwhelming. Plus, it's from orange oil, not someone's chemistry experiment. Between myself and my husband we have multiple sensitivities to various ingredients and this products works for both of us. I've reordered and plan to keep reordering until spring.

I waited a months to receive this and it smells like turpentine. The lavender scented salve is wonderful. But not this one. I don't recommend this scent. The salve itself is lovely and moisturizing. I like to use it at bedtime. Good thing the scent evaporates quickly.

It definitely moisturizes. The only issue I have is there is a funny unpleasant smell after the initial orange smell as the product is being applied. It gets stronger and completely overpowers the orange smell. It's a bit annoying having unpleasant smelly hands especially in the morning. The good news is the smell lessens afterwards and eventually disappears after some time. Of the ingredients listed, I cannot tell what could be causing the smell. Aside from the unpleasant smell, it does moisturize hands and cuticles beautifully.
