I wondered how much space they really save and whether the bags would reinflate over time. After testing them, I can supply those answers! There are supposed to be 25 bags in this kit and four different sizes are included. 5 small bags @16 x 24 inches, 5 medium bags @ 20 x 28 inches, 5 large bags 24 x 32 inches, and 5 jumbo bags 30 x 40 inches. My set was missing two bags for a total of 23 bags. I found the bags don't stretch as I filled them so it's best select bags a few inches wider than the clothes I was placing inside. The bags also have a "fill line" a few inches from top to prevent overfilling. Once I got the clothes or blankets inside, I sealed the top, (which is just like sealing a food bag) and removed the blue air purge cap. The air can then be evacuated using a vacuum cleaner or by using the supplied pump. Our vacuum cleaner didn't have the correct size air hose to match the bag opening so I screwed on the pump and began pumping. Surprisingly, it only took about 3-4 pumps before the bag began to compress. My bag of four towels went from 6" thick down to three inches with about 15 pumps total. I stopped pumping when it became difficult as I didn't want to damage the pump or bag. I had hopes that I could use this when traveling to save space but that's not going to happen for several reasons. One is that the bags take up more space than expected, two is that clothes inside the bag become very wrinkled and the third reason is that it would be too complicated to select/remove clothing from the bags and then seal and evacuate the air each time. But, for home use, they will work fine. The large ones can accommodate large blankets and the medium size bags are great for smaller clothing. They're great to store seasonal clothing and to keep clothes from picking up dust and odors. Bottom Line: Nice set of 25 storage bags in large and medium sizes. My set was missing 2 bags so check to be sure the set is complete. They are made of a thick plastic material and storing objects with sharp edges is not advised. Bags can be air-evacuated using either the included pump or a vacuum cleaner. In my experience, once air is removed, they remain compact with no air leaks. Not a good option for traveling but great for home use!

Dint hold the seal for long.
They work great initially but slowly over the days they reinflate. So they are sealed in a bag which is good, but the space saving feature quickly fades away. Be careful where you store them because as they reinflate they could get stuck. Also, the bags were mismarkef. Small bags were marked small and medium altho measured the same. Happened with med and large as well. And some largest were labeled jumbo.

Compresses way down
These are great for storing away clothes or linens that you don’t plan to use for a while, and want to save space. I tried these with a couple of camping items, and they compressed them down at least to 1/4 or their original size. They didn’t seem organized by size to me (XL was on one side of the box, with L on the other, and the S and M bags in the middle). There’s no way to tell what the size of each bag until fully unfolding it to read the dimensions—I wish they color coded them, and I intend to put different colored stickers with size for quick and easy identification, because taking out one huge bag at a time to unfold it all the way just to read the size is annoying. Only 20 bags have valves, with 5 labeled Medium being the same size as Small that are just large plastic bags for rolling to compress instead of vacuuming, but it’s confusing to have bags the same size labeled as different sizes. I used a Small and a Medium bag, which are pretty large, themselves. I think the XL might be good for things like comforters, and I want to completely go through my linen closet now and compress some for the season! There’s no manual, but instructions are on each bag. There’s no instruction for how to reflate them, but I think just opening the zipper top would do that. The seal on the 20 bags that have them are a one way valve, and no air escaped when I pumped the air out with the enclosed hand pump (it takes a while—next time I might try the vacuum cleaner!) and then screwed the cap back on. Pros: ▪ Compress down really well, reducing volume by 75% or so ▪ Waterproof ▪ Easy to use with the included hand pump ▪ Includes different sizes for different sized items ▪ Comes with zipper closers for every bag ▪ Air does not leak back in once compressed Cons: ▪ No way to tell what the size of each bag until fully unfolding it to read the dimensions ▪ Bags are not in package in order by size

easy to use, simple system
I have bedding like the two sleeping bags (in pix) that I've had for over ten years. Last time I used them was over a decade ago, but I can't seem to give up the hope that I'll go camping like I used to in both summer and winter. So I've shuffled them around but over time their stuff sacks wore out so I've been using the big storage bags shown. But the problem with them is that they tear and they don't allow compression (much) so they are prone to spiders and other critters finding homes in them, not to mention moisture and mildew. So I agreed to review this alternative to see if it was really easy or not to get the result I was hoping for without complications. The system is so easy that there was no instruction manual, rather the instructions are printed on every bag. You just stuff the bags up the max fill line, close the two "zips" (like in a kitchen food or freezer bag), open the screw lid, attach the hand pump via screwing, and pump. When you remove the pump the air doesn't rush out because it's got a one way flap valve, so you can easily just screw back on the lid and done! So easy! I noticed on the second bag initially it didn't want to pull the air out and I quickly realized the contents of the bag were pressing up against the air hole so by just readjusting slightly the air hold I was able to pump no problems. Makes sense -- can't block the air hole (on the inside with the contents). The pump doesn't take much force, and it's very simple. Much easier than an electrical or battery pump. I was able to decide how much I wanted the bags compressed (not too much to overly flatten the contents, but enough to reduce their volume by over 50%). So from opening the box to getting this first project done it was just a total of about 10 minutes, maybe less. And now I plan to go through all my closets and free up space by bagging winter clothes, bedding and extras that rarely get used, or get used seasonally. Very satisfying! And much less expensive than big plastic boxes.

Easy to use!
I don't know when in my life I started to become excited about organization solutions, but I guess I have to embrace it now! I've been looking at the linen closet overflowing and being in a state of disorganization for years, always thinking to myself, "I've got to get this organized". We've all been sleeping with mismatched sheet sets since we couldn't find the pillow cases that go with the sheets, or the bottom fitted sheet that goes with the top sheet. The linen cabinet doors that won't close completely when bundled up comforters are shoved in... It's the typical stuff that creeps up with busy families. We needed help! These vacuum bags do the trick! I committed to the task and pulled everything out. We matched all the sheet set properly and put them in their own individual compression bags. Not only are the sheets now properly matched, but they also stay fresh and clean until the next use. Instead of comforters taking up so much space, I now have a stack of 6 comforters compressed and fitted into the space that just one used to take. I have extra pillows for when guests come over that are compressed to about an inch thick and fit perfectly now. There's something almost zen-like when you can open a linen closet and see everything organized and fitting well! The pump to suck the air out is included, but I like using a vacuum better since it's faster and can get the contents more compressed. The roll up travel bags are a nice bonus, but I like the pump ones so much more. If getting things organized makes you happy, get these and try them out. You won't be disappointed. At less than $1.40 USD per bag, these are a great value!
