Rather than purchasing all my fresh rabbit food from the store I am now growing quite a bit of it and this purchase was a successful part of that plan. This morning I received an email from the owner of Seed Needs asking me to review the seeds. I normally pass by those requests but I thought about it, and I remembered picking some of the young plants just last night for my rabbit, Archie, and realized that the review was well deserved. I planted the seeds about a week after purchase. It took a 2-3 weeks for the seeds to germinate but the whole area I covered with seeds now has flourishing dandelion plants of 3 different varieties. The germination success rate was excellent. I've eaten a few of the young leaves myself and they are good but the real review goes to Archie who loves them, thinks they are beyond delicious, and just can't understand why I put them all in a place he cannot access (this bunny needs to learn portion control!).
