Pope Francis tells us how to react to social changes and how to get closer to Jesus in everything we do in daily life.The Holy Father implores us to live a life in God’s love. This book is inspiring and a must read for all those who need to be reminded that God loves us and is there for us always.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS !!! I have never read any of Pope Francis' other lengthy writings. But, THANKFULLY this is not a theology book that is geared to esoteric thoughts, etc. It is a down to earth book that really touched me in a great way.I am truly greatfull to Our Creator for the gift of Pope Francis. To me he is a 'follow-up' to Saint John 23rd. I truthfully believe that it wasGod's will to get rid of Benedict so that Francis could become pope. And, I pray that Francis will have the time to complete what John 23rd started.I don't have the words to say how great Francis is to me and it is surely reflected in this book.

This inspirational digest from Pope Francis will be known as the frosting on the frosting on the cake for this holy man of God,for his word is so necessary right now,but it is his word that expresses everything that we need. When I was reading through,and I have only a high school level of reading and comprehension,his word is so clear and concise...telling us what to do,how to do it and how to be sure that we check this two things to be sure we are doing them correctly. He doesn't stand atop a high altar in a golden chair preaching,he gets down in the trenches with us and leads by example,the way the best of leaders throughout time have done.A must read for priests,sisters,deacons,catechists...every Christian,Catholic...E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E.!!!Thank you Pope Francis!!~b <3

This work is so imbued with rich, experiential faith that its best enjoyed in small doses. Reading it was like savoring a good chocolate! I look to Pope Francis and think, "I want what he has". Indeed, he models the gospels well!

It was recommended by my Pastor to give to my brother who had questions. So I bought and gave it to him. Sorry to say I didn't read it first and haven't heard back so I don't know how he liked it. But I'm taking my Pastor's word that it is a good book.

I have been studying the Catholic Catechism and transitioning in faith towards a welcoming religion for some time now. It has been a journey of my heart. My PERCEPTION of Catholicism was very different from what I have learned & been exposed to throughout my adult life. When Pope Francis visited our country & spoke before Congress, his presence and messages touched me; I loved that he exudes such joy and abundant love FOR ALL PEOPLE. He inspired me to read "Evangelli Gaudium". I took my time; the thought-provoking words from his heart make me want to be a better person....reach out more, help others...show love & kindness. This book gave me JOY......THANK YOU, POPE FRANCIS!!!!

The Joy of the Gospel must be read by every Christian. It speaks to the baptismal vocation of every Christian to be proclaimers of the Word of God. It provides advice on how to remain strong during this arduous journey, and reminds us where our strength comes from.
