Honestly, I pretty much love this model. It was missing one piece, but that was buried down in the structure, isn't visible with the finished model, and I don't think it will make much difference that it wasn't there, though it is a little QA concern and next time it could be a much more important piece. That said, the model was fun to build, looks great, and had thorough, clear instructions. The parts are packaged in good sized, logically portioned and grouped packages so that you open a package to do a section of the ship. The finished model looks great and has a pretty good (or at least fun) level of detail. Displays nicely. There are some of the side guns that are kind of loosely fitted and not very secure, so they could fall off or be lost over time, but if displayed in a place where it is not touched too much, it will probably be ok. I paid $90 for it, which seemed like a fairly reasonable price compared to other similar products. Ultimately I would like to have had it be the Space Battleship Yamato with a wave motion gun and that stern, but either way, it is immediately recognizable as that ship and I'm glad I got it and built it.

Honestly, a very good value for the price. The design is great and the bricks are a decent quality (not quite premium, but they lock together well, only slight imperfections and very small inconsistencies when locking). Very clear instructions, on a nice large booklet. However, a couple of pieces were missing. Nothing major if you have extra pieces laying around, but there was one rarer piece missing that was more annoying to get around.Still recommend it and I hope they offer new models soon. Even with the minor issues I have to give it 5 stars for the value, relative good quality (much better than many off-brand bricks), and the fun I had building it.

Great product with easy to understand instructions and numbered bags. Very enjoyable build and end result is a very nice looking model. Blocks go together well. Stickers cannot be moved once placed so pay special attention and get it right the first time. Stickers are also slightly oversized so may want to trim down before placing. Cannot go wrong for the price and I highly recommend for anyone looking to build military building block kits. I will definitely be adding to the collection with other kits from this company. Dimensions with stand are approximately 32” long x 5” wide x 9” high so it is a good size model.

Great set with some downsides. The main problem is 4 missing pieces. They were common pieces, so not a major issue, but annoying for a $80 purchase.The chains are fragile and almost impossible to put together, I broke 4 trying to put them together. The stickers were annoying to apply. Other sets have them preset on parts, which look better and are less of a hassle.Worth buying all the same. The thing is huge and looks great on the mantle.

This was my first purchase from this company and, I seen some negative reviews about discoloration and some other stuff. However, everything was perfect from start to finish. First with a few pros and then some cons. The instructions were so easy to follow, however one of the first things you might come into trouble with is identifying the 2 different Greys, the light Grey and the dark on the instruction book. After using the different colors a few times you get used to which slightly different shade of Grey is for what, but I can see why people would make a complaint about that. Overall, not a huge deal after working with them a couple times. Next is the stickers. I watched a few reviews and am glad they made revisions on this set because looking at older videos. Every sticker on this set, was on the sticker sheet. However as of building this and reviewing it. There are only 2 stickers you actually need to put on. Every other sticker is printed on the piece. Another thing. There are a few times, like at the beginning, and a few times later on. When you are building a section, like the 2 walls in the beginning that are slight height differences, and being as long as it is. Make it slightly hard, when putting pieces on to keep some pieces from coming loose. However thats really only in the beginning. As you keep building it up, the sturdier it gets. One annoyance is the chains. They do not come assembled, rather each link is on a model print out sheet that you have to twist off and then assemble. Which being as small as they are, can be a little annoying. Considering you might accidentally bend a link or two. However they give you like, 66 extra chain links so that really is no issue. This set truly is amazing for the 80 or 90 bucks it is. Those few cons are not really cons. But more of minor things that can easily be worked around and once done a couple times, you become a pro at knowing how to do it. 1000% recommend this set to anyone! ALSO NO MISSING PIECES (at least for me)

What a fun experience!This model came with a detailed book of step by step detailed instructions. Easy to follow, easy to understand. This was my fourth snap block build, and my most enjoyable. The blocks are well made and snap together tight. The end product is solid and well made.Don't rush this model, it will take a few hours.Take your time sorting out the well marked bags of parts, use large cookie sheets to separate all of the small parts, this will make assembly much easier.This is a large model, give yourself a large undisturbed are to work in.The nifty assembly tool that comes with the model is o.k, but a small thin blade screwdriver ( like from a eyeglass repair kit ) seems to work better for when you make a mistake.You WILL make small mistakes when building, check your work frequently and resist the urge to hurry up and think ahead.Have fun!!

The ship looks great in person, I put it on a shelf above the tv. Took about 11 hours to build but its very simple and comes with very clear instructions.

I'm a very experienced model builder (50+years) and I really wanted to do a large scale model of the Yamato battleship. The instructions seem to be straight forward but as I got to the bow section it was impossible to assemble. So I took the model apart and started over assuming that I made a mistake in the initial assembly. Same problem. And again. Put it aside for a few days and tried again meticulously following the instructions. Same problem. I give up, something is not right with this kit. Very disappointed.

Awesome and actually a reasonable price. My 10 year old bought this with his Christmas and birthday money and absolutely loves it, he finished the entire thing by himself in a few days and now he carries it around the house with him all day lol.10/10 recommend if you have a ship-obsessed loved one.
