My young shelter dog is going through heartworm treatment which means he needs to be on cage rest for 6-8 weeks more. I use a portable hexagonal canvas playpen for this purpose that I got on Amazon. This washable dog pad (48" diameter) works great in it, coming up about an inch around the sides. My dog, although past puppyhood, was not fully house trained when I got him. Moreover, the prednisone he has to take during the period of the heartworm injections makes him very thirsty with the obvious consequence. When we accidentally left him for too long in the playpen before taking him out the other day, and he had a big pee accident in the playpen, this pad absorbed it very well and was easy to wash. The instructions say not to put it in the dryer but it took no time to dry in the air. If I had a puppy, I probably would get a second pad for backup.

These are great! Just got a new puppy. She for some reason wants to pee on the other doggies beds. They are a pain to clean because they have memory foam under the covers. I just insert these between the cover and foam. Now all I have to do is wash the pads and cover. They are absorbent so the foam stays nice and clean! They wash up very nicely.

I have used a metal ex-pen in the past, but I wanted something that held its shape better, didn't scratch the wood floor, and had a door. This is been perfect. The posts let you configure it in many shapes, and add sections, if needed. I can use it as a hallway block, if needed, although I wouldn't trust it as a permanent gate. I read that some folks couldn't get the black rubber feet installed, and I started to fight with them myself. Upon closer inspection, the "post" on the little plugs is flat, not round, so you have to push the plug in like a key, and then turn it. Once I got that, it was a fast install. This has been such a nice pen for this little dachsie puppy I'm babysitting. Can't wait to get my corgi girl in there!

I HAVE A 6 MONTH OLD PUPPY THAT CAN'T HOLD IT AS LONG AS THE OLDER ONE. THIS PAD WAS ABSORBENT AND THERE WAS NO SMELL. WASHED EASILY. WORKED GREAT AND AS INTENDED!

I was happy to find a pad to put in the pop up dog playpen since the floor is permantly attached

Bought this for a durable pad to be used inside a pen enclosure when my small dogs want to be with me outside, but I don’t want them to be uncomfortable laying down on the durable plastic bottom of the full enclosure playpen. Washable means one saves money.

I just adopted a new puppy last month and have come to learn a few things about puppy pads. I’ve bought 5 different sizes and brands and this one is my favorite. All the pads seem to work well but my puppy seems to be more on “target” with this one. This one is also more absorbent than some of the others seem to be. I do wash it after a days use but that is typical of these products. My puppy also tends not to drag this one around as much as I think it stays put better. The extra long one I have is always dragged into a bunch which defeats its purpose. I’m buying a second now so I can safely say I highly recommend it.

I have tried a few square pads for my dog and this round one by far has surpassed them all
