Don’t Be Afraid To Buy!
I’ve never used a generator or been around someone who has I took my chance on the Wen 6800 . I read up on it and got answers to what I was going to use it for. I was convinced this was it. I’ve had it a year as of June 2026 it made it through the winter. It has worked life a pro, I run it daily on propane to charge my power stations. The 2 questions I asked customer service when I received it was do I use all this oil in this container and why I have this yellow light blinking all the time. Their answer was use all the oil, and the blinking light letting you know out of gas. I’m not using gas, good answer. It’s quiet enough for my small town and my neighbors not complaining and l love that. Have I had problems with it cutting off? Yes I have and great news. I was charging 2 power stations at a time and the cord got hot couldn’t handle the voltage to charge both. The generator was doing its job to by cutting off. I had to reset the button on the generator and unplug one of the power stations and all was good. Please keep your oil changed especially if it’s sitting on a dusty ground. Also keep an eye your air filter. I don’t have mine on dirt. Customer service was great and I do recommend this Wen 6800. Nothing is perfect so if you feel whatever you will be using it for might cause problems please get coverage insurance. The size is great just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I can’t move it around, the wheels help and the long handle in front of. Weight just find, beautiful looking piece of equipment easy to use and the dual fuel there if I need it. Battery life you tell me, have I had any problems. By the way it did crank up my new GE dryer but it didn’t have enough to keep it running. It works well with my GE washing machine. Now I have the Wen 14,500 for the dryer only. If we get a storm and the lights go out for a few days I have back up.

Worth the Risk - Great Investment
We were in need of a more powerful generator for our newly purchased off grid cabin. We were of course told to go with Honda for quiet operations and efficiencies, but after purchasing the cabin, we only had a limited amount of funds available. Needed to make our investment really pay off. Boy did it ever! After some research, we began to understand that WEN is a very reputable company in this space. After frankly, after seeing a YouTube video showing how this generator can be used for whole house backup, we were sold! So first things first, since we were using this for off grid power through a fully code compliant panel, you will want to UNBOND this generator, placing it into floating neutral. A very easy process and something we learned along the way. We also love the idea of dual fuel options. We will eventually be installing larger, more powerful solar solutions, but for now, needed a way to keep cabin alive. We do have a gas caddy and adequate supply, but that does add up in terms of cost over the weekends. However, using a 40lb propane tank at around $15.00 filled for two (2) full weekends, that was outstanding. Very efficient, and we are capable of running in Eco Mode during the evening and early morning hours. Speaking of Eco Mode, this genny is very quiet. Yes, you do hear it throughout the cabin but move about 100 yards away and the sound fades almost all away. Great for hunting and general game watching activities. Also has no issues running our water pump, which was the main reason we needed to more powerful device when the weather is colder and does not run as efficiently in terms of power production. Yes, this item is heavy. Our use is essentially in a stationary position only moving in and out of the crawl space below the cabin. However, you can easily use this for portable operations with stronger individuals and certainly an able-bodied couple. All in all, extremely satisfied with this product and glad we took the risk of purchasing this brand. Just goes to show, do your research and don't be afraid to make decisions based upon your needs. Be wary of influencers or paid shives who don't give you the facts. This is an awesome device, and I would certainly not only recommend it, but also purchase it again! BTW, the only reason we keep pushing solar is not only "free" energy, but also the peace and quiet. But when working and living off grid, you have to do what you have to do given different situations.

Exceeded my expectations! Totally excellent!
Totally exceeded the quality I expected! I read up on this brand, and though they have a great reputation from my research I was pleasantly surprised to have it exceed my expectations of quality. Looks great right out of the box. Clean, sturdy, all the components feel quality. Follow the initial startup instructions and it started first try! Definitely recommend this brand and generator to anyone looking for a reliable product! And looking forward to our camping trips now with ample power supply!

It ran both A/C 's 15,000 BTU
I was really surprised by this Generator. I dont normally do reviews, however, due to the size of my fith wheel and the fact that my 4th wheel is wired for 50 amp i want others to know. So not only did this Generator run both my Ac's it also ran the exhaust fan for my stove and pretty much all my lights. I am still in the experimental phase and what this Generator can run. Nevertheless, it has met my expectations; Especially for the fact that I was running it on the 30 amp supply plug. I thought for sure I would be maxed out. Using my 50 amp supply power cord i ran it out approximately 25 ft. And hooked up the propane. Oh yes by the way I ran everything on propane which is supposed to be less efficient. Did not try gasoline, even though thats a better option for dual fuel generators. Nonetheless, the Generator was pretty quiet from 25 feet away running both AC,s. You could here the Generator but it wasn't bad. When I was able to run the Generator on eco mode, you could really tell the difference. Over time the Generator start up was easy. As the green button flashed I could walk away from the Generator and setup camp while it would start on its on. I did find a quieter Generator that was running in our campground. It was a Honda and it was powering a very small size class B. From looking online the Generator ran between $3k-7k. I couldn't see the wattge of the Honda Generator but the 2300 watt. Starts at $3k. After realizing the price of the Honda generator I was really happy with the purchase. Now the negative: The reason why I didn't want a 50 amp generator is because they are so big and heavy. The wen 6800 was much smaller than a 50 amp. For whatever reasons I couldn't get the wen to fit in my under pass through storage compartment. The bottom stabilizers kept catching on the vinyl insulation and getting caught. If you dont have that vinyl insert then you will probably be OK. Instead I had to put it in the back of my truck. So getting it up in the truck can be an issue. I am just going to have to stay in shape! I an not sure if I want to store the Generator in the very back due to weight issues or tolerances. In conclusion I am very happy with the Wen 6800. My wife was thrilled how quitting was. We are glad of the purchase Also, WEN is an American company. The company was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in West Dundee, Illinois.

Good product , quality, performs well
Great generator, good power for size. Two negative--- no 1. oil dip stick needs a magnet tip. Bought a replacement magnetic dip stick. But for the price it should come standard. No. 2 -- again for price--- the generator should have battery discount switch on front panel, instead of have to open the side panel up to plug / unplug battery after use. Several other makes in the same power rating have battery switch on front panel. Take care of the two items, and the generator would be a solid " 5 Star". Set up was eary, oil adding was good, over all quality was good. First start up went well. Run time on propane is a plus. Be sure to add a fuel stabilizer if going to run gas -- if gas is left in tank. ( Use propane ) But that why we bought this one --- dual fuel. The handle makes moving the generator easier because of the weight--- nice plus. It seems to be a little loader than expected, but that may be because of how it was setting on the ground when we first ran it. Over all performance is good. We added a extra motor guage for rpm, time, service time. Original guage is limited to volts, freq, and time ( 2 ). Would rate it higher than 4 stars, maybe a 4 1/2 stars is better. But there is room for improvement. Easy fix to get it to a solid 5 Star. Working off the breaking period, so far it fits our needs well. The pluses out weight the negatives by a lot!!!! Would highly recommend it.

Reliable, Powerful, and Easy-to-Use Generator with Great Dual Fuel Flexibility
I recently purchased the WEN 6800-Watt Dual Fuel RV-Ready Electric Start Portable Inverter Generator (DF680iX), and it has exceeded my expectations. The dual fuel capability is a huge advantage—I’ve been able to switch between gasoline and propane easily depending on availability, which gives great flexibility. The electric start works flawlessly, making it very convenient to use, and the generator runs surprisingly quiet for its power level. I also appreciate the CO Watchdog feature, which adds an extra layer of safety, especially when using it around the house or during emergencies. Power output has been strong and consistent. It handles multiple appliances smoothly, making it perfect for home backup or RV use. The build quality feels solid, and overall it gives a sense of reliability. Highly recommend this generator to anyone looking for a dependable, versatile, and user-friendly power solution.

Great Inverter. Recommend highly.
Very nice inverter. I was looking for a generator to power my fifth wheel. Wanted an inverter. Wanted to run both AC's. bought the WEN 6800-Watt Dual Fuel RV-Ready Electric Start Portable Inverter Generator with Fuel Shut Off . Nephew recommended WEN and I have been very pleased. I have around 30 hours on it, all running on propane. I don't think I will put gas in it. electric start, not remote, works great. I have lifted it in my bed of my truck but its not for the weak. It is short enough that it does not interfer with the fifth wheel. Dual fuel. Quiet. Love it.

Underrated, powerful, but it is loud under load.
Surprisingly powerful. Running 3 ACs in a 37’ RV. It’s pretty quiet under a light load, when you crank the power, it works hard but loud. It is loud when it’s working hard. I am thoroughly impressed with how easy the setup is. Downside is I have an RV quick connect at the back of my RV, next to where I plug in. The propane adapter is a quick attach to the generator only, not one for the propane hookup-just for a tank. I highly recommend this unit for how easy it is to move, how well made it is, how small it is, the dual fuel is awesome and uses it sparingly even under load. I dropped one star for how loud it is. You cannot beat this generator for 800$
