Great mount
Works great for my extra wide Dell monitor. Very solid & looks good. Adjustments are available to accommodate weight & positioning.

Excellent build quality and great international shipping experience
I ordered the Ergotron LX Pro directly from Ergotron through Amazon US for delivery to Mexico. The international shipping experience was excellent: the package arrived earlier than originally expected, cleared customs without any issues, and everything was very well protected. The arm arrived in perfect condition, with all components and hardware individually packaged. First impressions are excellent — the materials, finish, joints, and desk clamp all feel very solid and well engineered. I chose the matte black version with the 5-inch pole, and the finish looks great in person. I’ll be using it with a Dell UltraSharp 27-inch monitor. I haven’t completed the final installation yet, so I’ll update the review after using it for a while, but based on the product quality, packaging, and purchasing experience so far, I’m very satisfied.

Terrible support. Not worth the price.
If I could leave zero stars I would. The monitor wobbled unacceptably on the quick release tapered post (a new feature of the LX Pro vs LX). Just using one finger touch on the side of the monitor caused it to rock slightly from side to side at the quick release post (yes the rotation stop screw was installed). I reported it to Ergotron and got a reply asking for my monitor type. I replied (Samsung 28" weighing 11 pounds; well within spec). I also reported that while investigating I noticed that the quick release locking pin had inexplicably cracked at its edge, likely cosmetic but still not acceptable. They never responded. I sent another email 6 days later saying I needed to get a response within the next 5 days else I'd have to contact Amazon. Again they never responded. I was forced to contact Amazon who initiated a defective return. Five days after I had returned the item Ergotron finally responded (so a 2 week silence). The other issue is that there isn't sufficient vertical adjustment. I'm only 5'9" but to get the monitor at the correct ergonomic eye level with the desk height/chair height set to correct ergonomic standards I needed to have the monitor arm at the very top of the supplied 5" post and the arm fully extended with no ability to go even 1/2" higher. My final observation is that the arm is just not worth the price Ergotron sells it for. If feels like something that should be priced 50-60% of the current price. Parts of the arm feel incredibly cheap. I'll probably look for a different brand with more vertical adjustment range, I could buy a tall post Ergotron version but given how poor their support was supposed advantages like the advertised 10 year warranty are not as appealing as they first appear.

Worth every dollar
I needed a monitor stand that I can have closer to the desk because I was having neck and shoulder pain from higher monitor arms that couldn't be adjusted much lower. I tried three other cheaper brands and I ended up giving them all away because they didn't solve my problem. I decided to take a risk and pay extra for this company. This stand not only solved my problem but also is so unbelievably easy to install and also incredibly easy to adjust. No need to twist or tighten or screw things to adjust. Seriously some very impressive engineering and thought went into this. Give them a try! I don't write a lot of reviews but this company deserves it

Not for large heavy monitors; poorly designed cable routing
I bought two of these because I have a Ergotron sliding TV wall mount and was happy with the design and quality of the product. But it seems like their "B" team designed this updated monitor arm, though. The monitor arm is made from an attractive powder-coated aluminum but as others have noted it is very light weight for an arm in the price range. Not cheap, just not substantial like you would expect from a company like Ergotron in a $200 monitor arm. The monitor is very well packed in the shipping box so no worries about damage in transit. I have two monitors a 32" and a 27". I wanted two arms so I could have flexibility in placement and combined they were cheaper than a two-monitor arm. The product is very easy to assemble until you get to the cable routing (more on this later). There is an adjustment for the amount of assist in the lifting mechanism so large heavier monitors are easy to lift. The adjustment for the 27” went fine. I increased the lift to about 75% of max and it works great. However, with the 32” monitor (VP3268-4K), I adjusted the assist to the maximum setting, and it was still very difficult to raise. The monitor only weighs 14.2lbs. This may be a deal killer for someone who needs the ability to easily raise and lower the arm with a larger heavy monitor. For me, it was an irritant, because I have to use two hands and grip the monitor on either side along with the top portion of the arm, to raise and lower, but I’m finding as I use it more that the highest height setting seems to work fine in most cases. All the other adjustments for tilt and swivel are easy to adjust and work fine. I found that the shorter 5” pedestal works fine for me. I have these attached to an Uplift standing desk and I can get the monitors high enough so I’m not looking down at them. If you have monitors with the VESA connections above the middle of the monitor or need your monitor over a foot off the desk, then go with the larger size pedestal. Both my monitors were able to be raised to 11” off the desktop (from the bottom of the monitor frame) with the 5” pedestal. So about the cable routing. This is a major fail with this arm. There are two light gray plastic removable panels that conceal the wires in the arms (one in each arm). They snap off/on the metal arm. The panel was easy to remove from the bottom arm section, however I couldn’t get the top one off without fear of breaking it. As it turns out, this doesn’t matter as there is so little room in the top section of the arm that a zip tie is about the only thing you can get in there. Also even if you could get the panel off, the cable pathway doesn’t go through the arm joint (between the two arm sections). You have to go out the bottom and back in the top. I just zipped tied the cables to the outside of the arm and left it at that. Ugly but functional. Also, the exit for the cables on the top arm is too high, and they would have to bend at a 140 degree angle to go back down and then up again to make the connection with the monitor. Very difficult to do with a thicker HDMI/DP cable and impossible with a power cable. The cable routing ended up looking pretty bad but I’m going to live with it. In the end, the positives just barely outweighed the negatives, so I decided to keep the product. I also didn’t want to have to shop it again and then wait and go through the same things with another product.

Premium monitor arm that feels worth it
This monitor arm feels like a real quality upgrade. It is sturdy, smooth to adjust, and does a great job holding the monitor securely without feeling cheap or wobbly. Once installed, it makes the whole desk look cleaner and gives much more flexibility for positioning the screen exactly where you want it. What stood out most to me is how premium it feels compared to lower-end monitor arms. The movement is smooth, the build quality is excellent, and it helps free up desk space in a big way. If you care about ergonomics and a cleaner setup, this is a great buy.

Works great with my Mac Studio monitors with VESA mount
I have two of these clamped to my desk(s). They are super easy to set up and almost a toolless set up. The Arm is very adjustable and stable. It holds my mac studio monitor (13+ lbs) in place with no drift at all. The knuckle that attaches to the monitor is easily attached to the monitor with knurled thumb screws and then that can be easily placed on the swing arm. One person can do this though you might need two people with a larger monitor. I did not need to adjust the tightness of the arm because it was perfect for the weight of my mac studio monitors. I just slightly tightened the set screws holding the monitor attachment in place after i mounted the monitor. The tools to tighten the set screws and adjust arm tension are provided. The clamp that mounts the stand to your desk is hand tightened with a good size knob. I did need to cut a notch in the back trim of one of the tables to accommodate the clamp because the lip of the table was too narrow. The other table had enough clearance that it was not necessary. The overhanging edge on the table I did not need to cut was 2.25” which was enough for. the clamp to be securely mounted. The table I cut only had 1” of top overhang the edge trim which was not enough for the clamp. One last thing, it is hard to tell from the pic, but my monitors are not sitting on my desktop. I have progressive lenses so I like them low, but I slide charging and usb cables under them and I need about 1/4” clearance; they do not sag and remain in position without having to adjust.

Rotating joint closest to monitor has major wobble!
I thought spending this much on a mount would get me a sturdy mount. Unfortunately, the rotating joint closest to the monitor wobbles significantly. For some reason they made this joint with a huge tolerance, then try to take up the slack with a set screw in the back of the joint to tighten it. But that only creates a fulcrum for the monitor to wobble left or right, the rest of the joint remains loose. It's a super dissatisfying feeling when adjusting the monitor, makes it feel way cheaper than the expensive price point would suggest. This might be specific to the new model, I'm considering returning this and buying the old model.

Unsuitable if not enough back clearing space
For a centered screen, the extension requires a lot of backspace. Other arms are must more space saving. Also the seller wont accept returns unless there is a defect despite every part being put in place in its original packaging
