Church Grade Hojari - Frankincense - Boswellia Sacra Church Incense, Biblical Frankincense - 2 oz

I've been exploring the many kinds and grades of frankincense for the past year or so, and this one has become my preferred frankincense for everyday burning. I actually prefer it over some of the pricey "royal green" varieties of other vendors. Compared to the others this one has stronger pine notes, some lemon-lime notes, a bit less sweetness, and is very clean with no strange off-notes. The granules are smaller, about pea size, which I like because I can fit several onto the trays for my electric incense burner without having to break them up further. The price is great for such high quality. I highly recommend as an affordable and very clean smelling daily frankincense.

This is church-grade Frankincense. It's pretty good bang for your buck compared to the other similar products I researched. The smell is absolutely lovely. Apparently it is sourced in Oman, which I have heard is second only to Yemen in quality Frankincense. It's certainly not the highest quality, elite stuff (greenish). But it is very clean and clear in it's fragrance. Seems like a truly pure product. I use it in my meditation space. I burn it on coals or on pieces of burnt up wood from my BBQ (you have to blow on it to keep it lit if you're using wood). The smoke is clean and white, and very fragrant. Makes your whole house smell blessed.

I think this is a very fine Frankincense. I do notice it burns very quickly and I personally like to put it on foil and remove it from the coal before too much of the tar begins to burn. That takes away from an otherwise heavenly scent. I made a demonstration video for this as well. I am really looking forward to trying more incense so I can give this a re-review at a future date after I’ve seen how other resins burn. Until then, I very much enjoy the scent from this.

This is really the finest frankincense I have found, the most akin to the one used in Roman Catholic churches. A little goes a long way, as it is very heady!

I don’t eat or chew it so I can not rate the taste. It is the first resin I’ve bought in a long time with low smoke and great smell using my electric burner set at 200F; I don’t use charcoal and don’t know how it performs there.

Smelled like common low grade stick incense. Not like church or true frankensence at all, not even close. Too late to return so after one use im throwing it away.
