Two months. The left pedal fell off. So disappointed

Heavy bike, not lightweight at all.

The product description calls this "ultra-light" and "lightweight", using words like "magnesium" to reiterate the fact that this is meant to be a very light weight bike, suitable for 3+. This is exactly why i bought it for my soon-to-be 6-year-old: he's a small kid who needs a light bike to get away from training wheels. Unpleasant surprise: the bike weighs more than 22 lbs! My kid's toes couldn't touch the ground. There are other variants of this bike, perhaps similar or lighter, but there was nothing light about this particular bike. 22lbs puts it on the heavier side of similar-sized bikes that don't make claims about their magnesium frames. The brakes, too, were a bit too wide, making them hard to grasp with small hands - and therefore pretty dangerous for a novice bike rider. In summary, this is a poor choice for a first-time learn-to-ride bike, especially for smaller kids. On the upside, the quality seemed solid, with nice, durable-seeming parts and extremely painless assembly. We're returning this one and continuing our search for a true lightweight bike.

Bought this bike for our grandson’s 7th birthday … he loved it. Was easy to put together and arrived sooner than expected. It seems to be built well and we will probably buy another smaller version for our 4 yr old grandson.

NOT a balance bike! This listing is misleading, it looks like all models are balance bikes that co n vert to pedal bikes but they are not. Its a well made bike but definately not what I thought i was getting. Two stars off because now I either have to return it or get an additional balance bike until my little is ready for it or add training wheel which I was trying to avoid. I HATE misleading products, and even though its a good bike I wouldn't have purchased it, I would have gotten a different one.

Rides Great! Not Lightweight. The geometry is really nice for a 16" which makes it ride very well, but it's definitely no lighter than most bikes you'd find at Walmart. It may be cast from magnesium, but most of the frame is actually solid, not tubular, so it's much heavier than it looks. All that being said, this is my 4yo son's first pedal bike and he was able to hop on and immediately take off riding! (we started on a 12" strider). He's 43" tall and It's a hair on the big side for him, but it is really stable, has great geometry and really does work very well. Do note that on top of some assembly, the brakes actually needed quite some adjustment out of the box, so much so that they wouldn't have actually stopped the bike when pulled. Adjusting the cable resulted in a much firmer brake feel. Also note that this style of brake doesn't fully lock up, so they're great for learning how to operate lever brakes without being too "tricky". That said, older kids (dad) may not be able to stop easily down large hills.

This bike is beautiful the red is brilliant. It is lightweight due to the magnesium, aluminum, and thoughtful design. I hope my son likes it. This would be a 15 star out of 5 star bike if it weren't for the branding. Its on the tread of the awesome tires and throughout the bike. I hid the box, I'll have to throw it away at night. It's awesome that a gay or women owned company can produce such a cool bike. I'm waiting to see if there's any pushback from my son or his friends. No boys bike should say "baby" on it. Your branding is way off for the end user.
