KastKing Rover Round Baitcasting Fishing Reel, 60 Size, Left, Black

Ive had mine for 26 months and use it near daily. There was one time after pulling from a snag it entered free spool and wouldnt reengage, I got mad and smacked the side and its worked ever since. I dont think the drag is quite what they claim, but its good. Caught many 50+ pound blues and flatheads.

Perfect for lead core line trolling Stripers , salmon etc. The 60 size is 13 ounce light weight for my uncle he preferred a left handle . It can spool up to 5 colors of Suffix 36lb lead core maybe more from 12-27 lb lead core line. I mostly target Stripers in 15-25 feet depth trolling along the banks at inland lakes New Hogan and Fore Bay Oneil reservoir this cast reel is excellent for it , although I haven’t use it just got it on 1/31/25 . I like it a lot getting a right handle 60r myself and highly recommend it 100% ! Update: 1st week of February 2025 . Caught 3 Stripers at Forbay Oneil reservoir. The Kastking Rover 60 size is excellent bait cast reel. It goes very well with 7 feet medium heavy rods it should last a lifetime got both in left and right handle great nice reel for under $60 !

A bit disappointed here. This thing absolutely needs brakes, it is extremely backlash prone. GF tossed it once, and I had a 2 hour long birds nest to deal with. Maybe if you're a pro you'll be ok, but pro fisherman aren't getting a $60 reel. Build quality is nice, the reel handle is a bit cheap too.

I do like the reel, casts nice, great power. The only issue im having is i have to reset the line release tensioner every 5 casts or so. Otherwise super happy with this reel

I love my rover it throws line off the spool with the coolest sound effect on top of that I pulled in a nice 45 inch white sturgeon out of the delta out here in the bay area California handled it like a champ first time using it and it has become my go to for the rod I have a 10 ft pheonix abyss and it's a match made perfect thanks kast king rover you the shhhhhh.
