I took him to a vet and was delivered this news and was sent home with pain meds and sedatives. We are a holistic/natural house and I wanted to offer him more than just man made pills. I found this, purchased it and included this in his daily feeding by following the package recommendations for his weight. After four weeks, he went back for a followuo and the vet was surprised at how fast he healed. Certain "bone herbs" are not for animals so I had to look for something that would replace what I would use on him. This did the trick. I followed the recommendations of the vet to keep his activity level down and waited the 6-8 week recommendation before we took him out for walks again. I bought 00 plastic capsules on Amazon and filled them up like a pill and fed it to him in pill form. 2 capsules is about 1 scoop.
