I want to start off by saying I was a frequent user of the Renpure coconut gel they used to make. I believe this had been discontinued because I searched and searched for it for over a year. It was the only gel I could rely on so when I couldn't buy it anymore, I went through a long, expensive, and tasking process to try and find a replacement. Nothing could compare. I never found anything to replace it. Just out of the blue, I took to Amazon to see if maybe, by some miracle, it was brought back. That's when I found this product. I bought it in hopes that it would be similar to the coconut gel, and so far, I can say I'm not disappointed. The product came in a big squeeze bottle, which compared to the coconut gel, is a better packaging so you can squeeze out as much as possible. It smells very nice, light and fresh. Personally, I think it has a sweet floral scent. The gel itself is slippery, which is comparable to the coconut gel. I love the texture because it never left my hands feeling stiff and sticky after application. I know this texture is not ideal for a lot of people but to me it just feels like it'll guarantee a softer hold to not weigh down my curls but help shape them and give them enough structure without being too stiff. The most important thing in a gel for me is the ability to break the gel cast by lightly scrunching it to create soft to the touch curls without the after effect of dust or sticky residue. When I scrunch the gel, I normally put a little hair oil on my hands to prevent too much frizz, but for the sake of this review, I did not. When I scrunched it, there was a very light dust (this would not be a problem if I used my hair oil) but it is so light of a dust that it wouldn't be a problem if it was used as is. The coconut gel had the same affect, which I can say from a lot of experience, is the lesser of the dust machine gels out there. My curls look hydrated and sculpted. This product mixed well with my leave in conditioner, which is always a plus. Before I put it on my head at all I mixed my leave in and a small bit of this renpure gel to make sure it wouldn't coagulate. This is comparable to the coconut gel because the coconut gel was made to moisture and not dry out curly hair. This product has left my curls feeling light and soft. My hair is probably a 3A type and is fine so this product is light enough not to weigh it down, but moisturizing enough to hydrate it without being too heavy. This is my first use of this product so I'm hoping with continued use, it'll become just as important to me as the coconut one was. Over all, very nice product. Thank you!

I used to have difficulty getting my hair to curl until I added this product with my mousse. Now I get compliments on my curls. This product makes my hair shine and I’ve been getting lots of compliments on my hair. It’s non-greasy and actually moisturizes my my hair. I love it! It’s a great value for money compared to other expensive products. Love that it’s plant based.

it's my first curl product so nothing to compare and still learning how to use as I have not used any hair products outside a spray leave-in conditioner, but i need something for trying to tame the frizz a bit on my warm weather natural-air-dry now fully bleached and vibrant colored wavy perimenopausal hair and the simple ingredients is why i chose this so it would hopefully not damage my color or hair any further. i only wash my hair once a week: i first tried on re-moistened dried hair, then fresh washed towel-dried hair with similar results- it leaves a little crunch but it softens ok through the week. it doesn't do great for frizz of broken(regrowth?) hairs on top of my head but ok on length and waves. split my hair down middle two sides- use about a quarter+ size dollop rubbed over whole hand then from top to bottom each side working through with fingers, then an unbrush and re-crunch the waves. not sure if i'm using enough, using more seems like a tube will not last for many applications (i have a lot of hair & mid back length,) but i like the product and it smells wonderful so i will continue to buy.

Finally! A hair gel that works perfectly for me. I have long curly frizzy hair. I am an older lady with a fair bit of grey and hair that’s dull, course and dry. I am allergic to a common hair product ingredient found in almost every popular gel. I have been looking for years for a stand alone gel product that would give me a bit of shine, a bit of definition, and not leave my hair feeling gluey or brittle. This gel fits the bill perfectly. Plus, my hair still looks nice the second day. It was rainy out the other morning and I thought if I try to fuss with this hair it’s going to get so fuzzy and big. So, I just put in a pony tail straight from bed head. Later that day, still on and off drizzly and raining, I was at the outside checkout line with a couple plants I was purchasing at a garden center. As I paid and was about to leave the register, a man behind me in line commented on how beautiful my hair was. I was dumbfounded and embarrassed to imagine anyone in line behind me examining my ponytail that had been slept on and untouched for almost two whole days. I thanked him nervously and he actually said he loved my hair and people would kill for hair like that. I got home thinking how puffy and ratty my pony tail must really look from behind. I went to the mirror, took out the hair tie and stared in amazement as the hair fell down my shoulders still in very decent ringlets, with minimal frizz and feeling shockingly soft and silky. This is not at all how my normal hair would appear or feel in 100 percent humidity, let alone on day two after washing and without having re-wet it and applied more product. Fast forward to tonight, hair was washed yesterday morning and this gel applied on wet hair. It has been light rain yesterday all day and today all day. My hair is still pretty nice and defined and feels soft and silky. I’m pretty amazed because this product is doing more than I could have hoped for at half the price of the least expensive gel in my arsenal and I have a bunch of brands I don’t like. Plus, after two weeks of using this gel I have zero skin reaction or allergic symptoms. I’ve grown so used to dealing with an itchy scalp just to get some semblance of control over these frizzy curls. But I’m having zero sensitivity to anything in this gel. I’m so tempted to include a photo of my hair after two rainy days. If I include a photo, keep in mind that this is 60 plus year old hair that hasn’t been touched since yesterday morning and it ten o’clock at night. I have no other product on it but this gel applied after washing and I’ve been in and out of rain briefly multiple times both days.

This smells SO good! It keeps your hair curly without the frizz. It feels so moisturizing rather than super dry like other products. Highly recommend for curly haired girlies.

Great for us curly girls!! It's light and not sticky or crunchy. Yet it keeps the frizz away and gives you very defined curls.

This smells so nice (it’s fairly fragrant for anyone wondering) and is a lovely lightweight gel for my curly hair. Doesn’t leave a crunchy cast. Love that the ingredients are fairly clean too.

The bottle is big, the scent is very good and it helps to maintain the curls without looking greasy.
