They are thin, so they look very real. For me, sizes 0, 4, 6, 8, and 10 fit my nails perfectly. I am very careful to treat my cuticles first. I think that process helps them look real. I bought some cuticle remover and orange sticks to soften and push the cuticle back or remove it. Then, I used the alcohol pad before nail application. It was plenty to wipe all ten nails.I do have one problem with the nails. Apparently, my nails really grab on to the adhesive. So much so, at the end of two weeks, I have to pry the nails off. When I do, a layer of nail goes with the adhesive. Before starting the removal, I always soak my nails in acetone polish remover. It didn't do anything to the adhesive. The last time, I tried using Goo Gone. It didn't help either. I did read in one review that said lemon juice will break down the adhesive. I will try that next time.
