Bring a touch of color to my room! *by K***E on September 1, 2020* I couldn’t be happier with these chairs! I ordered 2 sets of 2 for my small round dining table.The color is a blue green—at different times of the day, they can look more green or more blue and that’s good. If I had to pick one, I’d say they have more of a green tint than a blue one. They have a satin gloss to them—not flat and not shiny. I think they’re beautiful at my table!The distressing isn’t quite what I imagined, but once I had them all around my table, I was glad for how they look. There’s mostly some black paint kind of accented on them and since my table bottom is black, that works.SUPER EASY to put together. Took me no time at all. Every screw fit perfectly. The only part that was a bit awkward, but still easy enough, is putting on the two legs—you only have to assemble two legs as the back of the chair has attached legs (all one unit with back and two legs)—and really that awkwardness is just from the angle I put them together, holding the leg there while screwing in the screws, which are heavy duty screws.They come packaged very well so no damage.I took a chance on these not sure how they would work (ordered 2, loved them and ordered two more), and I’m so glad I did. They add some interest and color to my log home.The backs with the crisscross are interesting without being too ‘busy.’ These are sturdy chairs too—I don’t have any wobbling.I put felt round things on the bottoms of the legs so they would slide easier as it’s just wood at the bottom of the legs.They are comfortable to sit in.Simple chairs with a farmhouse or bit of retro look to them. I just love them!Thank you for reading my review — hope it helps with your decision. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good chairs well built at a very good price easy to assemble. *by E***N on February 9, 2018* These chairs are very good. they are easy to assemble and the quality is fine for the price paid. Considering that they come from China they are well built and the finish is good. I am a furniture and cabinet maker by trade and I am impressed with the quality overall. Can I buy better quality? Of course there are better chairs. But for the cost I find them very well made and very easy to assemble. The color is contemporary and will work with many different table combinations. I am building a Farmhouse kitchen table for our family that will be made with in old school techniques with 6" thick legs painted white, a top of Tiger Maple in 8/4 material natural finish and Company boards at each end instead of leaves. These chairs will work perfect. I ordered 10 chairs and 2 of them need an adjustment to one of the legs in order to make them sit level on the floor. Not a big deal for me since I do this for a living anyway. They just have to sanded about an 1/8" to stop the rocking. But since they probably spent the better part of a month coming across the Pacific on a cargo ship I'd say that's not too bad. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After 4 years - still the most reliable chairs in the house *by D***R on July 3, 2020* Needed new chairs - the 50 year plus set with my Heywood Wakefield table are awesome, but they need regluing, and the set second-hand only came with 4. We searched for about a year-between furniture stores & sales people doing what they do - and overpriced catalogs; one day I decided to see what was in stock in Amazon if any. To my great surprise - these were priced --two for----one price, which was about half the cost of ONE chair in Pottery Barn, etc. We bought 3 pair, in the aqua color - with the intent on painting them creamy white in the near future. That was almost four years ago; we have not painted them yet. They are NOT comfortable, in that they are WOOD and unless you have a cushion or pad - your butt will ache like butts always ache when they sit on hard wood for too long. But they are Sturdy, and wide, and they look great with our (warm, cinnamon colored) maple table. We like everything about them - not so much the attempt at streaking them to look? distressed? or used? (darker streaks here & there), but, this summer we are finally painting them. So, BUY THEM, tighten them according to specs. and every now & then inspect them too - if they get heavy use like ours - then the nuts get a little loose now & then. Just tighten them before you have a big dinner so they aren't wobbly. They went together effortlessly, and although I like the Aqua, it's not glaring or neon bright - and is soft on your eyes - I really wanted them creamy white, so that's what they will be soon.
