TOSOWOONG Arbutin 7% + Tranexamic Acid 4% Cream for Dark Spots, Brightening

Update - The first picture of my side profile was after 3 months of use. The head on before and after is after six months. Keep in mind, I cut out dairy and sugar, lost 25 lbs and use this along with 3 other products, 2x a day. The second before and after pic is after about 6 months. I’ve had hyperpigmentation for 10 years from laying in the sun while on antibiotics when I was in my 20s - not smart! The dark spots are fading and significant lighter. Several of the spots and freckles have completely vanished. Now, for the large hyperpigmentation areas on both cheeks, I hope it continues to fade. Again, this pic is only after a month. Visible results in 1 month is amazing for under $30.00. Not sticky as long as you let it dry. Includes retinol which dries skin. I use serum and moisturizer after to avoid drying out and flaking. My skin is not dry or flaking and has a glow. Super silky product and feels smooth on skin, it’s refreshing. No smell, and didn’t make my face red. It seems to absorb well, but I use a hairdryer in between each product u use to open my pores with the warm air and dries the product faster and absorbs quicker. It application, just like all serums. Very pleased and I am excited to see more results in a month from now. If you struggle with stubborn skin damage like me (mine is really bad) I know how freaking frustrating it is when you just want it gone! I thought my face would stay this dark and get darker for the rest of my life. I have a little bit of hope now that it will mostly go away one day if I keep following a skin routine. I’ve been enjoying this cream so far. The combination of 7% Arbutin and 4% Tranexamic Acid makes it especially appealing for dark spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone. I also like that it contains niacinamide and glutathione. The texture is lightweight and absorbs nicely without leaving my skin feeling too greasy. It leaves my skin feeling soft and gives it a nice glow. I’m looking forward to continuing to use it and seeing more improvement in my dark spots over time. Overall, a nice addition to my skincare routine, especially if you’re focusing on brightening and improving the appearance of pigmentation.

This product definitely works on my caucasian skin. I work outdoors and wanted to even out my weird tan lines. After 10 days of use (applying once or twice a day, and I think I did skip a day or two by accident) I can see a significant difference. I always start with applying the cream to my cheeks and as a result, my cheeks have lightened in color much more than other parts of my face. Whoops! I also did not work the product in to my eyebrows, and there is a noticeable difference in shade there too. Long story short, be sure to apply the product evenly or you WILL get patchy results! Next steps for me: continuing with more thorough application and attacking my forearms to fade this farmer’s tan.

I had severe acne in my 20s and early 30s, and unfortunately, I’m still dealing with the PIH acne scars left behind in my 40s. I’ve tried several topical treatments over the years to fade these stubborn dark marks, but I haven’t had much success. I’ve been using the TOSOWOONG Arbutin 7% + Tranexamic Acid 4% Cream 3 times a week for 12 weeks, and unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any significant fading or lightening of my acne scars. I was really hoping to see some improvement after using it consistently for three months, but my PIH looks essentially unchanged. That said, there are some things I do like about this cream. It’s lightweight, has never caused me any irritation, and a little goes a long way. I only need about a pea-sized amount, so the tube lasts quite a while. My only complaint with the texture is that it can feel a little sticky or tacky after application. Since I haven’t experienced any irritation, I’m going to increase my use to nightly application and see if using it more frequently makes a difference. However, based on my experience so far, I don’t plan to repurchase it once I finish the tube.

This also works very well for daytime use, especially if you live in warm weather or humidity. Because it’s lightweight, it doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating, and it layers easily with the rest of my routine. I also appreciate how gentle and skin-compatible this cream feels. Even with relatively strong percentages of arbutin and tranexamic acid, I didn’t experience irritation, dryness, or sensitivity. That’s something I always look for with brightening products. Fragrance is also worth mentioning. There’s little to no noticeable scent, which I personally prefer. It feels clean and simple, and I had no irritation related to fragrance. Another thing I like is that this doesn’t leave my skin feeling fragile. Some brightening products can make skin feel more sensitive, but this one feels supportive and comfortable. My skin looks hydrated, smoother, and more even without feeling overworked. This is not a miracle product, but it’s an excellent maintenance cream that helps improve tone gradually while keeping skin comfortable. Those are often the products that end up being the most useful long-term.

This a fantastic product! It works wonderfully at brightening my skin and improving my dark spots. It is light and goes on easily. Because it contains retinol and other anti-aging ingredients, it seems to help tighten my skin and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I use it three times a week at night, and I have noticed a major improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin!

I've been using it for about 1.5 months now along with tretinoin and I don't really see any difference in fading my melasma so far. I've been living with my melasma for the last 15 years though so I can't really expect it to do gods work on my face but I was hoping for a little change. In terms of the texture, I'm comfortable with it. I usually put this on right after washing my face then I use thicker lotion for my dry skin. I use tretenoin after putting this on at night. Overall, it's a pretty good product so far. I'm hoping my melasma will fade in around 3-6 months mark.

So far, no noticeable results. But I've only been using it for about a week. So we will see!! Love the formula though! The only thing is, a little goes a long way! If you use too much, it will start to ball up but 10/10 definitely recommend!
