It is 0.47 inches or 12 mm thickness. The Vaporizer comes with the 1-year warranty on the glow plug from the manufacturer. It is fully compatible with the BOSH 0250201039 or NGK 2031 Y-103V glow plugs. **Q: can I use a marine battery or is that too powerful?** A: 12 volts is 12 volts, it makes no difference how big the 12 volt battery is. A larger deep cycle marine battery will just be able to treat more hives per charge. **Q: Can I use this on a top nar hive? Do I need to remove the honey?** A: I don’t have a top bar hive but would assume that it would work if you had a way to get it into the hive and close off all entrances with towels. But, yes you do need to remove honey. If you don’t remove any of the honey it will get contaminated and shouldn’t be sold or used for human consumption. This one is much better than the beekeeping club's that I have used before. I would recommend this for anyone. My only complaint is that I used my lawn tractor to treat the hives, and the cords were not quite long enough, so I needed to move the tractor for each hive I treated.
