If it were happening on just one unit, I would have worked with the AirTV folks to eliminate (or lessen) the problem, but this happened on both units. I finally retired these and went with the desertcart FireTV Recast box. So far this is working great and has a few minor issues, but nothing I can't work with. Tried slings dvr but after finding out it won't record local ota channels cancelled it. I just tied my ota antenna to my dvd recorder and record general hospital for the wife this way. **Q: What hard drive is recommended to use with this device?** A: It's a media streaming device, not a DVR. The underlying operating system is Android TV and as such you have access to the Google Play Store to download apps and games into an 8GB internal memory. You have 2 USB ports so theoretically you could attach an external hard drive or flash drive for pictures and videos but there are no DVR functionalities **Q: Can you cast to it from a computer or phone?** A: You would need the sling app on those devices. **Q: Does it still works in sling ?
