I’m so thankful I found this product on Amazon while battling C Diff. By the time I started using it, my antibiotics were starting to kick in, so I can’t speak to how it works when C Diff is at its worst. But I immediately reduced my running trips to the bathroom. What I do know is that that it is so much better than Pepto Bismol (which doesn’t help at all for C diff in my experience) and Imodium (which didn’t work AND made me feel even worse— NEVER AGAIN). This is my second bout with C Diff, so I know there are many more GI problem days to come, so I’m keeping Banatrol on hand. I’m two weeks out from finishing my meds and still using this every day. The flavor is... interesting. I mix it up with cinnamon and applesauce and it goes down fine. Texture is a grainy powder. It gives me relief, so even if it tasted like dirt and I’d still be glad to take it. Updating this review to say that after I starting using this during C Diff, I keep it on hand now for any loose stool issues in the family. Works great for the 5 year-old with a sensitive stomach. She will even ask for it. Love that it’s safe for kids. The packets are easy to tuck into my suitcase when we travel.

ALTHOUGH HE'S NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE TASTE, WE FIQURED OUT A WAY THAT WORKS FOR HIM HE MIXED IT IN CHOCOLATE PUDDING (2OZ) . AND HE SWEARS THAT RIGHT AFTER EATING THE PUDDING THE PAIN IS GONE AND HE FEELS GOOD AGAIN . HE IS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE BANATROL THAT HE BROUGHT A PACKETT TO HIS ONCOLOGIST.AND THEY ARE GOING TO PASS THE GOOD NEWS ALONG TO EVERYONE WHO NEEDS HELP WITH THESE PROBLEMS . WE ALSO HAVE TO MENTION THE FED EX DELIVERY WAS AN A + . INCLUDING THE PRESTINE BOX THE PACKETTS CAME IN. If you are troubled by IBS D, try this. I was skeptical having tried pepto bismol and expensive probiotics and prebiotics. It took me about two days to adjust use. Ie, when to take, how much I need, what to mix it in. The banana flavor is not overwhelming! I like it in strawberry applesauce ( I can’t taste at all in this), any flavor of overnight oats, and if you have Blendjet 2, you can add to most anything. At this time,,,2 weeks in, I use two packets a day. But I have started a food sensitivity journal, to monitor when to take it. Usually in overnight oats at breakfast. In applesauce at lunch. Then in sm cups of rice pudding, or yogurt at dinner, or Blendjet smoothie for afternoon snack. It can clump a bit so sprinkle over top of food in a big enuf bowl to beat it in. This has been a blessing to me. At least try it…

Disappointed I wasted my money. I cannot tolerate the taste and texture enough to get it down, I gag every time I try to take it! Not sure if it works or not because the smell, taste and texture are so nauseating! Also this does not mix well at all, doesn’t seem to dissolve well, no matter how much I stirred there were still chunks and pieces. I wish it was a better taste and texture or made in a pill form, which would be a much better option!
