Is it useable in a home with a septic tank?

Yes it is!  Noflex is currently used at island resorts commercially, where septic run off into waterways & guest's comfort are of issue.  Noflex is a harmless, yet powerful, oxidizer busting up bad bacteria to eliminate foul odors, while dissolving to non-reactive bicarb.  It is coated too, so it sinks to the bottom of the tank, where unused portions lay in wait for more waste matter to react with.  It works like a charm to dissolve sludge off the walls and pipes, creating clean air & better flow to the fields!  And you don't have to worry about polluting the environment.  Once the main problem is under control you can use less Noflex to keep odors away.
Noflex has been used to eliminate organic odors in septic planes of cottages, homes, RVs, bus lines, ferries, yachts, in Australia, Canada, Europe, Fiji, for examples; now being discovered in the US.  I use it in my own septic tank at home (septic on GA hard clay), pouring a cap full with a gallon of water (water us needed for reaction to occur) in each of my guest bedroom's shower drains monthly, & episodically into any blocked toilet.

What toilet cleaners are good and safe to use along with Noflex?

Hi Jan-the best Toilet Bowl Cleaner to use with Zaal Noflex Digestor is Zaal Toilet Bowl Cleaner. It has lubricants to protect toilet seals, as well as a powerful uric acid stain fighting gel formulation. It was designed for coast guard and merchant vessel operations. Just use on days your not using Noflex for best results, as Noflex will neutralize most chemicals it comes in contact with.  Zaal Toilet Bowl Cleaner is too powerful for Amazon to carry. Can you use it in an aerated holding tank?   We don't want to kill the aerobic bacteria?

Yes, you can. As an oxygenator Noflex Digestor helps the bac grow and moves the sludge into the treatment area for reprocessing.

How much oxygen/air flow does it need?

Accepted Answer

Noflex will continue to oxygenate the environment on its own, but its always better to allow free flowing air when possible to keep the environment as oxygenated as possible. This is conducive to the good smelling bacterial colony growths.  It works best without a filter in the line. Filters get clogged, reducing the air flow, but depending on your system, a filter can be a bit tricky to get rid of.  Some forums can offer advice on removing the filter from your model.  Also don't pump out too soon.  Noflex is coated to continue dissolving slowly upon contact with additional flushes.  Adding product a little bit in the toilet every other day works best on strong smells. The amount used can be reduced over time.
