Mic Monitoring! Woo!
Since there are already hundreds of reviews covering this headset here already, I'll just skip over to my personal favorite feature: mic monitoring / sidetone!I'm coming from an old PX21 headset from over a decade ago. It's held up well for 10+ years, but it was time to move on to a newer (and comfier) headset. So, here I am with the Recon 200.I am glad to see that Turtle Beach has maintained their signature mic monitoring feature with the new Recon 200 headset. The monitoring volume is adjustable, clear, and can go loud enough to really keep your own voice level in check while playing even the loudest of games. My only complaint (compared to the PX21) is that the mic appears to be far more sensitive and has a tendency to pick up noises away from your mouth. The old PX21's mic was designed to sit closer to your mouth and did not pick up much (if any) noise that was more than a couple inches away from the actual microphone itself. Not a biggest fan of this change with the new, shorter microphone design.Anyhow, since there aren't many options for gaming headsets with good mic monitoring / sidetone for console players, this is likely the best one you can get for <$50 USD. I'm highly satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a headset in this price range.(If you want in-depth info about the audio quality of the Recon 200, I'd suggest reading the SoundGuys review. They did a superb job. In short, this headset has a fairly neutral audio profile, which is common among Turtle Beach headsets. The mic is clear and easily audible to others, but does filter out much of the bass in your voice.)(Yes, mic monitoring / sidetone can be completely turned off if you don't like this feature. There is an adjustable dial controlling the volume for this specifically (separate from game volume) on the left ear cup.)(No, there is no delay or lag with mic monitoring / sidetone whatsoever, just like with my old PX21. That's why I like this headset. I use it with my PS4, and plan to use it with the PS5 eventually.)

Works Great - Xbox One - Smaller Head
I got my first gaming headset in 2011 along with my first Xbox. Gaming headsets have definitely come a long way since then. I started out with a pair of Turtle Beaches, so I definitely wanted a pair to go with my Xbox One.I was using a wired headset before that didn't need to be charged, so I was a little confused about why this one needed to be charged, but it holds charge great. When I have time to game, I can be on for around 4-6 hours at a time and it has only died on me once, but that was human error since I thought my charging stand was plugged in, but it in fact was not. Other than that, this headset can go a good 16-18 hours on a single full charge. Which is quite great.I would also like to warn that when you are done gaming, you DO need to turn the headset OFF or it will stay on and lose battery life. Learned THAT the hard way.It is also adjustable and fits well on my small head (22/f).The one and only thing I can claim I 'dislike' about this headset is the mic itself. I am used to the mics that you can bend to wherever you like that have the foam muff on the end of them. I do prefer that style since I talk rather softly and prefer to keep the mic closer to my mouth since sometimes this mic style doesn't always pick up my voice.Other than this, it works great, fits great, is comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions.Would recommend this product!Best of luck!-Loren

Hear everything,defeat everyone.
Got the new recon 200 today. I have been trying a ton of headphones and headsets over the past year or so in my search for one with adequate sound, comfort and mic.The recon 200 have hit on many levels. The always on bass boost is an experience like you have never had, which of course is not going to be for everyone. In games like H1Z1 and CODS Blackout beta, I am able to get the drop on people thanks to the amplified sound. Since we're talking about the sound, yes the controller of the PS4 is plenty loud for these (most likely thanks to the amp built in) if you're tired of weak volume from the controller and don't want to purchase a separate amp, this could very well be the one you want to try.User guide says 12 hours per charge ( since they're amplified they do need charged) and I have to see yet if that will hold up.If you need a longer go then that, consider the stealth 300. Mic has been great so far as well, swivel to mute is such a clutch feature! It's definitely not an "audiophile" headphone but for a gaming headset with crisp audio, bass you can feel and comfort for hours? Turtle Beach hit a home run on this one!

Very disappointed, immeasurably upset and I want to return this horrible product.
First off, why make a wired headset that you have to charge and that dies in what feels like less than 2 hours and dies when you leave it on. This Isn’t even the worse part of this overpriced garbage, the audio quality for its price is far below expectations as the headset will constantly bug out and all you will hear is choppy audio until you fix it, meaning mid game you will have to unplug and replug in the cable into your controller making it super inconvenient and even game-ruining for games like Rainbow Six Siege, where you gave to be hyper-reactive and listen to the slightest of sound cues just to stop mid game just to replug in a near $60 headset. This headset isn't just fodder for its price point, its horrible in general there are literally $20 walmart mics that have better microphone quality then his hunk of plastic, it literally feels like a low quality $10 walmart mic with the Turtle Beach logo plastered on it so they can charge you more for it. This is by far the worse Turtle Beach product I’ve ever had the misfortune of having to rely on. The only positive I can give to this thing is that i haven't felt the urge to smash this garbage into literal molecules yet.
