He is full grown now, but has stayed quite small and has a habit of not wanting to chew his food, but prefers to just lick it around the bowl leaving sometimes lots behind. Also he can be very picky, refusing to eat some canned food. He has always begged for a good night treat, so usually I give him one of the new stews that are mostly gravy. Saw this, and decided to give it a try, considering it is in aspic. I just put a small amount in his dish and mashed it up. Went over really BIG as he devoured every bit of it. I will rotate this with his stew, (one pouch gives him 3 servings!!!) and as long as the price does not go up, repurchase as often as I can. Great product! I wanted to try another, so got the Sardines in gravy. Big dud!! Licked up some of the gravy but left all the fish!!! A few of the ferals ate some, but most did not like. Big disappointment!! Review: Cat not puking daily YAY - My son recommended this because it reminded him of the aspic seafood cat food I used to feed my cats years ago. I am SO happy to report that my 13 year old cat has stopped throwing up every day like she was when I was feeding her Friskies Appetizers and she seems to love this food. Have not tried thd gravy version, just aspic.

My cat hates it.
Just like the other poor ratings, my cat took one sniff of it and backed away like it was a bomb. I have tried it four different times and he acts the same way - the oddest thing is he LOVES the aspic fussie cat food in the can, the bowl is licked clean. I do not know what is in or not in the pouches, but it looks grey, smells nasty, and now I am stuck with it. I had purchased one box of Tuna with Salmon, and the other box, Tuna with Ocean Fish, and both of the gross him out. I wish I knew what the difference was besides packaging.

Ok but not like the canned version
This is hit or miss with my cat and he won’t eat the whole pouch, when he does attempt. Nit like the cans though. He loves the canned Tuna and chicken liver, tuna & salmon, etc and eats the whole can in two seperate meals (morning and night). He is older with poor teeth and won’t eat a lot of dry unless it’s small, softer or mixed with canned Fussie. I have wasted so much money trying to find a cheaper alternative to the canned Fussie cat but it just goes in the garbage. He won’t eat anything he doesn’t like, whether his teeth are bothering him or not, but if I don’t get what he wants he will lose weight and then can’t fight any infections or health issue. Not sure why they are different but they should make it transparent. The brand was pretty forthright it seemed a few years back and they were adamant about transparency and the means of national or international laws and methods of sourcing ingredients and getting fish, in particular from country with high standards for pet food fish. Mainly similar as with human consumption level like Thailand and being very open about its sourcing. But something is different with the pouches and not being transparent about it upsets me and taints their reputation in my opinion. It makes me question their products when they start saying nothings different when you see all these reviews and people who know and are familiar with the food all say it’s something different. These are cheaper than cans and for me I was hoping to find an affordable variety pack other than driving to my local source to buy individual ones. But I guess it’s better than buying the pouches and wasting my money. They need to explain what the difference is though. Because there is something. Not the same at all.
