I bought this hat because I thought it was more structured than what it really is. It does have a chin strap. I just tuck it up into the hat. It’s floppy in appearance. I wanted it to be more structured. It’s a well built hat, quality of this hat is really well made. It’s lightweight it folds nicely in your suitcase. I don’t know if it protects your hair, but it keeps the sun out of your face. The overall appearance is cute. I was looking to be more glamorous, but I ended up looking more like a farm woman. I didn’t look anything like the girl that’s wearing it in the advertisement maybe because I had to pull the hat too tight because my head’s too small.

Big hair gals, we can fit our hair bun up in that deep bucket. I love this hat for gardening. I have thick curly hair I need to wear up when I garden. This hat provides enough room for my messy bun and keeps the bugs and twigs out of it too. Air flow is great, no hot head. Can't comment on durability since I just bought it. Used it 3 times for 3 full days of heavy gardening and it still looks new. I like this hat a lot. **Update** Do not get hat wet as it is made of paper!!

Great hat. I took it to Florida for a sun hat. It folded nicely in my suitcase and definitely did the trick while looking cute. Very lightweight but not in a cheap way. I will be using it all this summer

Cute and comfortable. Sometimes hats like this make me look like a bee keeper but this hat is super cute. Not too big and still provides sun protection. Its also comfortable and not itchy. Highly recommended
