Staub Multi Cooker 9-in Accessory Ring

I bought because I wanted to insulate my Staub while on an induction burner. The pro is that it kept me and others hands and arms safe as we passed by because the outer wall stays relatively room temperature. The cons are that the ring does not fit snugly around the 24 cm/4qt coccote. The width of the top ring also interferes with trying to use a hand mit to take the pot off the burner. A Staub cover for the handle could help. But the space is small and the pot is heavy when hot. I tried also to at least keep the front of the ring pressed to the pot in the front. But that did not make sense. Overall, I like the concept. But the functionality is lacking. I returned the item and will just keep the pot out of a high traffic area in my kitchen when slow cooking. Cannot recommend. Two stars because of safety and no more.
