This is an optional extra. It should be a dedicated Alarm sim card as the credit never expires and it roams networks so it always finds the strongest signal. You will have to load it with credit but this is only used if the wifi goes down. **Q: How long do the batteries last and how much are new ones** A: Ages. Standard AA for the motion detectors. The siren one is a bit special but that is being recharged by daylight. **Q: Does this have an external alarm my neighbours would hear?** A: It depends which kit you order, The starter kit (the cheapest) does not come with an external siren. But all the other kits do come with an external solar powered/charged siren, and yes your neighbours would hear it. **Q: When other members of the house setup the app, do all memebers use the same email and password or do they set this up individually with unique account** A: Actually, you can. All members install the app on their device and register with their email address, then the first installer shares the system with them either as read-only or admins, permanently or temporarily.
