Very helpful guide. Basic, but gets you started

Linux is a great alternative to Mac OS or Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distributions, ane on which many other distros are based. This guide is a great starting point for new Ubuntu users, and much of the info contained here has practical application to other distros as well, especially those that owe their existence in part to the Ubuntu team.
